El Puesto — Restaurant in Clovis

I'm not from this area I moved here in 2012 and have always struggled to find good Mexican food. This place has the best burritos and Mexican burger. Its only a drive through and usually the wait is between 10-20 mins depending on the lines.

Mexican style burger with normal fries is very good. They have few aguas frescas that are usually better than the competitors. Burritos are good. Nachos are not so good because they use ground beef and a not so good cheese. You can ask for carne asada (grilled steak) instead or whatever meat you prefer in your nachos. Their tortas are pretty good.

I’ve been going here for a while now they constantly forget to put the meat in my breakfast burritos sometimes I go back and have them fix it sometimes I just take it as is but this last time I ordered my food they forgot to put my meat in it once again so I go back to have my burrito remade I get attitude from the workers just because I didn’t bring the original burrito back. I grew up eating traditional Mexican food and when I think of Tacos I think of tortilla meat cilantro onions lime and spicy salsa. When I saw how their Tacos were prepared here I was skeptical because they had lettuce tomatoes and melted cheese on top. Despite my thoughts I gave them a shot with the delicious salsa they provided and they weren't bad at all! The tortilla seem to be fried a little with oil which gave it extra flavor and a slight crunch. The red salsa spicy enough and really complimented the taco to the point where no lime was needed .
