Now let just say... There is always a line at this place, no matter what time you decide to go, there is always a line at this place. Wake up early for breakfast... Line... Wake up late for lunch... Line... Wake up for dinner... Line... Camp out for Black Friday... LINE!!! With that said, this is the best Thai Restaurant in Fresno, CA none bar, I mean, bar none. The flavors of the herbs comes from a garden deep within the passage of the small kitchen, planted on top of the green rice fields, watered by the clouds of heaven and picked by the wok itself. The fire comes from the inner core of the earths crust that chars the dishes to a perfect perfection. The curry is from another world of curries, it actually belongs in its own universe, somewhere where curry doesn't exist, that's how good it is. The simple Thai Country Salad is the only reason why I ever divulge into eating my greens. The wait through those double glass doors to standing next to the cast iron elephant and watch everyone else eat for the next 20-40 minutes is always worth it, knowing that there is going to be another hungry victim to fill my door greeter position as I sit and enjoy my food while its their turn to watch me... I've seen people walk in and decide to leave but trust me, wait this one out. This one is worth it. The price is, worth it, the taste is, work it. The long wait to have a table for 2 or 8 is..., Worth it! But don't take my word for it, try it...
Read moreEditing this review from 2 years ago. Since time passed, we decided to give this place another chance. It is a huge improvement and highlights the difference in experience with staff attitudes. This place is still very busy, there's no getting around that and the reason for it is why we come back. Food is excellent. Very tasty, fresh, succulent, flavorful. Be prepared to wait. Nancy is wonderful. Responsive and kind in a very busy environment with our large orders. We are back as repeat customers now but I'm afraid that this place will get busier if more people come. Go away!
2023: Public service announcement. If they are busy, which they usually are, and you want to order take out, they will just ignore the phone and you cannot reach them. Since there's no message and the phone rings, you'd likely keep calling back, wasting time including time deciding what to eat, calling multiple times, then end up getting food somewhere else while feeling frustrated. I order for my lunch group, usually spending about $250 and we have supported this business for about 6-7 years now. Good food. I went there to talk about this communication problem. I was genuinely wanting to work out a solution. The lady was just rude and unsympathetic. She doesn't want our business anymore: "That's ok, you can go elsewhere,...
Read moreI previously gave them 5 stars, however that was years ago. I used to eat here 3+ days a week (for the last 12 years), and had no issues. Now that they're only open for lunch, it's a huge inconvenience to get orders for pick up. I live 30 min away (on a good day) and used to be able to call an order in, and it would be ready when I got there.
Now, they never answer the phone. This is the 6th time in a row where I've called 8+ times to try and place an order for pickup and they never answer. I have to place my order when I arrive there, and then wait over an hour for 1-2 orders. When i say something about the wait, they tell me "if you call in your order, you won't have to wait"...really? Every time we go through this, I show them my phone and say "I've tried calling, numerous times" and they're reply is always "I'm sorry, we're busy".
Last time the lady waiting before me got mad and left after waiting 1 hour and 15 min, she told them to keep her money, that this is just crazy! This is my last time here! They're food may be the best in the area, but it's not worth this! They've lost a regular, which is sad, because I used to...
