The Picket Fence — Restaurant in Clute

Waitress was prompt and friendly. Unfortunately, she was the ONLY waitress on a Saturday afternoon. She handled more people coming in as best she could, I believe. Our order was correct on her pad. Unfortunately, it went downhill from there. My burger was wrong, and fries cold. I sent it back, and it came back a second time wrong again with even colder fries. The third time was a charm, and it as good. My husband’s dish contained rice, which was so hard that he couldn’t chew it. I don’t know who came to our table (not the waitress), but she explained that rice is sometimes crunchy. He told her that the dish was inedible, but she wasn’t willing to replace it. We were very nice during all of this, and we’re usually not real picky. We haven’t visit this restaurant in awhile for the very same reasons, and thought we would give it another try. Nope. We left the waitress a good tip, because she tried really hard. But we won’t be back. The management’s handling of the food being inedible complaint did it for us....

I came to pick-up a pre-ordered cake for a party, and decided to have lunch. First of all the open concept was a negative. The place wasn't half full, but it sounded like a riot in there the tin clad ceiling caused tons of reverb. We ordered and it took nearly the entire lunch hour to get our food. A BLT sandwich and soup should not take 45 min neither should the daily special (chop steak). The chop steak was pressed so hard (crushed flat) that there were no juices left in it. Either they were rushing to get it out or they cook it that way normally. When I asked for extra gravy (cause it was dry), I found out I was charged extra for a little serving. Finally as we're ready to leave the waitress who during the whole meal assured us the cake was ready and only waited for us to finish our meals before bringing it out. Finally we paid and were waiting an additional 10min for this cake only to have her come out and verify we prepaid. (She was handed the receipt before we ordered) Poor service for...

LEE AND MEGAN WERE AMAZING IN SERVICE AND FRIENDLINESS. MY FRIEND AND I WERE TRYING TO CATCH UP AND DISCUSS WHAT WE COULD DO FOR OUR CONGREGATION THIS WEEK AS FAR AS SUPPORT AS WE ENDURE THESE DIFFICULT TIMES AND THEY DID NOT RUSH US AND DID NOT CHECK ON US A MILLION TIMES AND INTERRUPT US. WE HAD A GREAT MEAL AND EVEN TOOK LEFTOVERS HOME I LOVE MY LAMB GYRO AND I'LL BE BACK SOON. MY FRIEND IS 74 SO SHE NEEDS TO WATCH HER SALT INTAKE AND LEE MADE SURE OUR SWEET POTATO FRIES WERE UNSALTED AND GAVE US EXTRA CUCUMBER DRESSING TWO EACH. MY HUSBAND WILL BE HOME FROM WORK SOON AND WILL BE ABLE TO SHARE THE DELICIOUS ITALIAN CREAM CAKE THAT THEY PACKAGED UP FOR ME AND THEY SENT MY FRIEND HOME WITH A BEAUTIFUL FRUIT PLATE LIKE I'VE NEVER SEEN. LIVING CLEAN IS EASY WHEN WE'VE GOT OUR CLUTE PICKET FENCE TEAM ON OUR SIDE. SOON WE'LL BE ABLE TO ENJOY THE BEAUTIFUL PATIO IT'S GOT FLOWERS ALREADY AND A BEAUTIFUL FOUNTAIN. THANKS AGAIN AND...
