Guamuchil — Restaurant in Coachella

I gave Marisco’s Guamuchil 4-1/2 stars the food is exceptional authentic Sinaloa style. Pretty good variety of sushi rolls, the botanas are a good portion. We had the botana Pocha,it has cooked whole shrimp, cubed pieces of tuna cucumber and mango, served on a bed of Tostitos. I ordered battered shrimp taco came with two sauces one that was made of some avocado foam, had pickled red onions and a cilantro salad. my husband ordered a pulpo zarandeado buttered fried octopus absolutely perfection. Plates on a bed of delicious butter rice, and a side of salad. The eat in experience was different, the building was the old Wendy’s so it is set up as a fast food restaurant that has been jazzed up. However seating is a bit close for comfort, the window gives a fish bowl feel. Wait staff are not super friendly, but our server was patient and attentive. Food is always so good but the service is horrible we ordered two tacos and got the tacos pretty fast we also had ordered two rolls of sushi my husband got his sushi first and I still waited about 15 minutes to get mine and it was not busy at all, my husband ended up getting one of the servers attention and let them know we were still waiting on my roll then the server went back to the kitchen and brought us a taco that had already been brought to us we mentioned again we were just waiting on my sushi roll and the server was still confused 25+ minutes later they bring me the roll with chiltepin on it when I had clearly told the server when ordering to not add chiltepin waited another 5 minutes for my roll and my husbands sushi was already cold. Checking out this place for the first time and first impression is so far so good parking was easy and we were greater as we walked in by a friendly staff! Our waiter came over to our table right away and greeted us and took our drink order! We didn't have to wait long for our order to get to the table and the food was amazing and so good and flavorful! The ambiance was very upbeat and lively and I highly recommend this place from the drinks (chavelas) to the food and everything in between!
