Talk about an incredible culinary experience!! Just had multi course brunch date with the foodies. On Saturday mornings they have a set menu for brunch. I included pics of the dinner menu just to satisfy curiosity. Restaurant is koko japanese pub located in cocoa beach, FL. This was such an unassuming restaurant and would not expect what was inside. It didn't even feel like I was dining in Brevard from the atmosphere to the courses & drinks.

🍵 We tried 3 different teas and they were all so tasteful with so many notes and so we're all the courses. Tea 1: Asatsuya Sencha- which tasted like matcha on steroids, really delicious as I tend to favor earthy butty flavor profiles. Tea 2: Genmaicha- (my favorite) super nutty hints of popcorn and sweetness of caramel. Tea 3: Black Phoenix Oolong- fruity/floral hints of sweet caramel.

🥣 I provided a video of the 5 course bento main entree as the details of each course is important. Every course was a different universe of flavor that did not disappoint. As our courses were brought out it was timed perfectly and fulfilling.

🍚 🍲 After your 5 course entree you are served two sides. The onsen rice lacks sodium by design to be paired with the sweet and salty umami miso. It is unlike any miso soup you have ever had. You mix the entire bowl of rice and it's ingredients (the one with the egg in the bowl). And each bite of the rice you take a drink of your soup bringing all the flavors together. Where the rice lacks the sodium the miso pulls it right in.

🍰 Each dessert offering contrasting tastes and experience. Succulent grapefruit with tajin, warm matcha pound cake, honeydew melon, and the best damn key lime dessert you will ever fn taste in your life.

🍻🍾🥂The 12 year aged sake was like the best scotch you ever had without the bite of hard liquor. And the kava champagne was so light and refreshing.

The atmosphere is is chic rundown urban feel with pops of color and trendy design. Keep in mind this restaurant only has two table booths and the rest is bar seating it's best to make reservations!!!!! Our total time was almost 2 hours. And please remember this is a culinary experience if you are looking for 5lbs of fried food ready in one minute I reccomend the golden corral buffet on palm Bay Rd.

Great experience to share with my friends as we both talked about each course in absolute awe.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ All around for service, food, cleanliness,...

My wife and I went to Koko last night for the first time and were nothing short of blown away. This was the most authentic experience from a Japanese culinary/foodie fan standpoint I have had in YEARS. And for the record - I’ve eaten at some pretty decent sushi places around the country over the last two decades. The food is inspired … soulful - a creation that comes straight from a deep passion and respect for the culture and cuisine. While the menu currently is relatively small it is deliberately so … because the attention to detail is flawless. And the raw purity of the space itself is equally enjoyable - as are the wait staff, all of whom are clearly on board with the vision for this restaurant. Chef Daniel came out to greet his customers in person because he’s obviously very proud of what he has achieved - and he should be! Forget about a plate of old colorless pickled ginger and dried up premade wasabi, or refilled kikkoman soy sauce bottles. THIS IS NOT THST KIND OF PLACE! At Koko it is very clear that everything is carefully thought out and chosen - from the plates and arrangement when you walk in to the way the food is prepared and presented. Everything was unique and delicious. We left feeling literally on cloud 9 for having such an incredible restaurant right in our back yard having just moved from the northeast a few months back. Also notable were the staff - Josh and Danny being as enthused about the food offerings as their creator. The sake selection is also top notch.

The menu will undoubtedly expand in the upcoming months but I would order what we had all over again. The hamachi was the best I have had and the scallop crudo was delicate, zesty and delicious while letting the flavor of the protein shine through. The shio ramen was also insane - beautiful depth of flavor and presentation with soft pork belly sitting on top of the unctuous broth and bed of noodles.

Bravo Koko - next level dining. It is we who We...

Wow! I had been dying to try Koko based on a trusted recommendation from a friend. I wasn’t sure what to expect but it was a top notch culinary experience and really lived up to the hype. The decor and ambiance hold true to the Japanese pub aesthetic, clean and minimal with deliberate placement of art and simple decorative accents. It’s a clean, small place but with thoughtful flow and seating. As soon as we entered the door we were greeted by smiling, attentive faces. My partner had made reservations and the hostess acknowledged the occasion of my birthday almost immediately as if she had been waiting for me! It’s those simple details that really elevate a dining experience. We were seated at the bar and met with a kind, genuine smile by Chef Daniel. Sitting at the bar, we were able to witness him create these beautiful masterpiece dishes and I found that such an added treat! To see that creativity, focus and mastery in the form of food creation is intoxicating. But the food,…the food did not disappoint. I don’t even want to call it food, because it was like art. Edible art. Presented simply with no frills as the showcase on the plate. We ordered the Blue Fin tuna sushi and I was immediately lost in all it’s flavors. The tuna was so fresh and clean! The matcha tres leche cake is equally amazing; light and spongy with just enough sweetness. This has to be one of my favorite deserts ever! Koko has reinvigorated the foodie in me! The experience was authentic and so incredibly impressive while being...
