This is a cute place with good ice cream and awful service. It’s a little window under a tiki hut with some fun flavors. It wasn’t that the service was slow or sloppy, the employees were just really disrespectful and rude. It was sad. We walked up with three different families which totaled 5 adults and 8 kids. The first family went up and asked for a few samples. When it was my turn the girl helping sharply said to me, “what other samples do you want?” I was caught off guard but I named the two flavors that two of three kids wanted to try. When my kids tried the flavors, my oldest did not like it and politely asked if she could try mint chocolate instead. The same girl replied in an angry tone “no, I’m not doing anymore samples.” Confused I responded with “but she hasn’t asked for a lot of samples.” This is when the other girl taking our order looked at my 11 year old daughter and barked “actually this is her second sample and we’re just not going to be doing any more samples, we’re done. What do you want to order?” My daughter felt so ashamed for asking that she didn’t want to order ice cream anymore. It was so insane to me that I did not leave a tip and the girl taking the order scoffed loudly at me and rolled her eyes. I have to stress that even if 7 TOTAL samples for 13 people is too much, it could have been handled a lot better and a lot nicer. No one has to bark at an impressionable 11 year old to make her feel bad for asking for something, especially when that something is as insignificant as a second ice cream sample, which is an abundantly common and reasonable request. I have to make it clear that at the time we were ordering it was HOURS before closing and there was no a line behind us until we all finished our order and that is when one more family walked up. It’s really sad because it’s a cute place and the ice cream is decent, it’s the employee’s behavior that is just atrocious.

Maybe not quite a four-star location - if I could I'd give them 3.5, but I'll err on the side of giving them credit... Overall, I really liked the place. It's a walk-up-to-a-window kind of ice cream joint and the service is super fast and efficient. They have this novelty offering called the "Zonkey". A mixture of softserve and ice cream in layers with the ice cream selections being fruity choices such as mango, blueberries, strawberries, and so on. This was delicious and probably the only thing I will ever get when I go back (and I will be back). So why the desire to rate them at 3.5? Well, two things: First, their selection was wanting. They had the normal fare you find at any other big box place and outside of the Zonkey, nothing else - unimaginative. Second, the ladies behind the counter were less than friendly. Maybe it was the heat? Maybe they didn't appreciate my witty banter? (Probably) But geez, smile at least (it makes the customers feel welcomed, you know?) Anyway, assuming they were having a bad day for whatever reason, I'll give them a four-star review 'cause three-stars honestly wouldn't do them any justice. Just be sure to smile and be happy...It is ice cream you're selling after all...

This is hands down THE BEST ice cream I have ever eaten!!! Went Saturday for the first time and I will be back to try more of their delicious scooped ice cream flavors. My wife had 2 scoops with the Special Praline on top of Strawberry. I did 2 scoops with the Stellar Coffee on top of the Special Praline. We both absolutely loved them. Their ice cream is soooooo creamy and exploding with flavor!!!! There are so many flavors and they have a selection for anyone with any dietary issues. I also can say that the ice cream we got did not affect us like some ice creams due to lactose. I highly recommend that you get the ice cream in their waffle cone which was a perfect complement. We live in Orlando but have family all throughout Brevard and are over there regularly and thank goodness because we can't wait to get back. Amazing!!!!

Went with my wife to try this for the first time. Setting aside the snooty attitude of pretty much every tourist and timeshare owner that was there, the experience would have definitely still left a bad taste in my mouth. Not only was the ice cream pretty tasteless and not quite even up to the level of dairy queen; the store-bought key-lime pie ( that was supposed to be cheesecake ) was also lacking in the flavor department. Pretty much just tasted like I was eating a, STORE BOUGHT, waffle cone with some sensation that there was soft serve somewhere inside that cone. Parsing through the reviews it definitely seems like this business feeds of traffic from tourists running on auto-pilot and the fact that their building looks slightly interesting. I would not doubt if a good amount of these reviews were paid for or given via bots.

Now for the customer service portion of this review. The worker not only got our order wrong but paid no attention to my wife who was trying to state her section of the order. Not a single glove was in sight and just as a cherry on top the worker making our ice cream dropped the whiped cream onto the floor and picked it up for use, without wiping it off.

Overall a very bad experience, go here if you're looking to pay $7 for half a scoop of icecream in a dixie cup that has less flavor than the air you breath. If you're looking for a good ice cream shop please stop by Twistee Treat, Toppers or even dairy queen. There are many ice cream shops nearby and even at the lowest level they pale in comparison to this poor excuse for an...

We went to the The Fat Donkey last night, Wednesday, June 19th. The young lady with brown hair taking orders was very nice and helpful. However the other young ladies helping prepare orders had attitudes and were very disrespectful. My moms order was forgotten, which I understand happened especially when your busy, but when asked about her order that wasn’t made, the young lady got an attitude as if it was my moms problem and not hers. She made the order my mom asked for, but made it wrong. When told that she made the wrong order she copped another attitude and rolled her eyes. When she handed the correct made vine to my mom she pretty much shoved it at her. Not okay with that! There’s no reason to be disrespectful to someone who didn’t do anything wrong, I don’t care if you’ve had a bad night ot a busy night. On top of the bad service, the ice cream was melted. As our ice cream cones were being handed to us, the ice cream was already melted dripping down the cones, as were other customers as we watched them get their cones, which made for a huge mess. We also got 3 milkshakes, one chocolate and two Oreos. The milkshakes were awful, they were watered down with milk. You might as well have ordered a cup of milk. My husband couldn’t even drink it, he had to dump it out, which is sad after you have spent $34 on ice cream. We were hoping to have found a cool little spot to get some delicious dessert, but that wasn’t the case. The putt putt place down the road in Cocoa Beach has delicious ice cream and the service...
