Fornello AT Coconut — Restaurant in Coconut Creek

Decided to try this place as it was my old bagel place. Couldn't order online at this location, so I decided just to go there and place an order. I asked about the online special and she said her boss stated that it only applies to the Boca location and said I would have to drive to Boca if I wanted it. I laughed and said no big deal, although I thought that was odd. It wasn't too busy, but still took about 50 minutes for my food (I ordered 2 Chicken Parm Dinners). The portions were very tiny. The tray of pasta was about a 3rd of the way full and if I had know the salad was gonna be a piece of lettuce cut into 5 pieces, I wouldn't have paid the extra dollar they charged me for a drop of extra salad dressing (by the way they were out of their own house dressing). The chicken parm wasn't bad. Their Brazilian food and Pizza may be good, but I would rather go to All Stars or Amicis for Italian as they have better taste and bigger portions. A nice little neighborhood restaurant. We were looking for somewhere that was new to us but where the food was good and stumbled across Fornello on google. The pic of the steak and yucca appetizer was what sealed the deal. We arrived and saw that it was ladies night and karaoke. Which is a fun way to spend an evening. The staff was friendly and we were seated right away. There weren't many people there, but it wasn't quite 6pm. The place was starting to fill up as we were leaving. Our server, (whose name I can't remember) was kind, big smile and made great suggestions. The drinks were great! Try the strawberry Caipirinha! The steak for the steak and yucca appetizer was amazing! The yucca was ok, but the sauce they serve with it was so so good.
