Nana Sushi-Thai — Restaurant in Coconut Creek

Avoid this place like you would avoid the plague!

Went here for the third and last time yesterday. All new staff with a collective bad attitude. The meal my husband wanted to order was not available, so he ordered a substitute which he made clear that he wanted mild. It was served very hot. I like hot Thai food, eat it frequently, and know what it should taste like. This was ridiculous. My meal arrived 5 minutes after his and it was lukewarm. I sent it back and got the 'attitude look' from the server. Finally, we attempted to partly pay the bill with a prepaid coupon from 'Daily Deals'. A male who said he was the manager refused to accept it, claiming that he would not get payment from the company. This, we told him, was a falsehood since the day before we had used a similar coupon at Rock N Roll Ribs (extremely good) without any problems. Furthermore we had used another prepaid coupon Last Saturday at The Ark, also without any problems. However the 'manager' refused to yield. We will never return; they have lost our business for the life of the restaurant. Probably that will not be too long as there are several excellent Thai and Sushi places close by, notably Jasmine and Pad Thai. We will inform all of our friends to avoid Nana Sushi and Thai. You should do the same.

We have ordered take out from this location of Nana Sushi for years now, going on 7 because we really like the food. Tonight we wanted to dine in and enjoy a meal in person. The service was terrible and besides my party of three, there was two others in the restaurant for an hour 1/2. . We had to ask for water, napkins, silver wear, explanations of specials more than once, more water, a check, to go box, etc., This was after speaking with the manager/owner letting her know that the waiter was not asking us for anything or offering any assistance. We wanted more food and requesting that our waiter come check on us so we wouldn't have to keep asking for help. The owner kept saying "you can come to me and I can help you" . This was strange as we were more than begging for service and embarrassed that we kept having to call or ask for help. We wanted to place a lot more orders for the rest of our family of three at home, but never once were we asked if we needed anything or would we like to place an order. She told us a few times "we are understaffed" and we were literally a party of three and a table of two next to us. After we had been there an hour, the table of two next to us had just gotten ONE water (not even a second until they asked for it) and no food during the time...

Nana Sushi-Thai is one of my favorite sushi restaurants. I typically order from them through DoorDash, but decided to stop in there last night, just to see where my sushi had been coming from.

The restaurant is very clean and the staff is very friendly. I like that you can't smell fish in the air. My order came out quickly and my waiter was nearby throughout my meal, in case I needed anything.

The menu is large, but not "too large." Sometimes too much variety can be overwhelming when you're out for sushi. I like that they have a variety of dragon rolls, as well. I usually get the Nana Roll, but last night was an outstanding Orange Dragon Roll. I also love their seaweed salad, when I'm in the mood for one.

I'm sure that I'll continue to have my meal delivered from DoorDash, but it makes me happy to know that the restaurant would be warm and welcoming, if I feel like...
