McDonald's — Restaurant in Colchester

By far, the worst McDonald's I've ever been to. First our number sat under the now serving screen for more than 10 minutes. Then, once we received our bag of food (ordered to-go) and got the cup for soda and headed to the fountain soda dispenser they were filthy. Then the Dr Pepper didn't work. One of the McDonalds staff said to us to use the other dispenser. Oh guess what, the Dr Pepper didn't work on that one either. It came out as cream tinged colored water. Next tried the Sprite, and it had no taste and was flat. Then tried the coke, and it spit air out. Finally got Hi-C and it was piss warm. By the end of this I didn't even realize they had forgotten my caramel frappe. Got out the car and realized no frappe and no sauces that we ordered. Went back inside to ask for the frappe and let the staff know the issues with the fountain soda. The lady was rude and said "the soda works because I just replaced the syrups". When I questioned and said "then why does the Dr Pepper come out like that" she stated, "well we don't sell Dr Pepper here". My response, "Really, because you have it on your menus." Her response, "Well we do. But not right now". I asked "then why not put up a sign to let customers know, and what about the Coke spitting air". To which she replies, "oh well that one doesn't work, if you want Coke we have to fill it over here behind the counter". My response, "and still, no sign up to let customers know?". She rudely stated "there had been signs up" and started to walk away, to which I reminded her that we still didn't get the frappe or the sauces. She finally made the frappe and got the sauces. Extremely rude. No customer service. And...

Held toung for years but constant letting my children down I'm done. Your milk shake machine isn't broken 4 days a week. Machines don't get fixed 1 day and break again the next for years on end. You would buy a new machine that doesn't break. Colchester vt location is living to me and not doing thier job. Job being- milkshake is on the menu, make one.!! Not just this location but the 3 locations in Enfield CT. One in burlington. One in Granby CT, Holyoke mass . . . I can keep going but it's besides the fact. Either they buy the worst milk shake machines that have ever been manufacturered and constantly need to get a day to day repair guy coming every other day. Or thier employees aren't doing thier jobs and pushing away thier customers. Do the mcdonalds CEOs like money? But I'm done asking if the milk shake machines are working and I'm just going to a place that always has one working. Sorry mcdonalds. By now you should know that this is a problem and there are memes online making this apparent. Good luck. I'll need incentive for this to come down. This is from my heart and not just a KAREN rant. I have been mcdonalds over burger King or Wendy's as passionately as people are between the red socks and Yankees have been but I'm sick of this BS. Your stores are literally making my kids cry. ...

Update: 10/23/24 I took my daughter here tonight for their Halloween Party, which was really a great time. She was the only kid there for most of it, but was unfazed about hanging out and doing games with the staff members.

There were crafts and coloring, bingo, pin the eye on the zombie...She got lots of great prizes and I won the raffle for the adults and we went home with an entire box full of things.

I think it's great to have a local restaurant doing something like that for the kids. She's already waiting for the Valentine's Day party.

This location is chronically understaffed. They also frequently run out of things. I can deal with that, honestly. But twice now I've waited the wait for my food only to not be given apple slices I've ordered. Once, they were out of something I paid for. I asked for something else instead and didn't get that either.

The most recent time I had a long wait (they were slammed) I did receive a coupon for a free...
