I heard the restaurant has a new owner and that they had taken great strides to clean the place up, so I decided to give it a try last night. Glad I did!!! The food was excellent, the facility was spotless, and the staff was friendly and attentive. As I ate my dinner I watched as the owner walked around checking on all stations and giving his employees directions and information. And these young employees were soaking it up like a sponge!!! All in all an Awesome experience!!! I’m leaving my review from the previous experience under the old owner just to emphasize how big of a change it is.
I stopped by for some food tonight and had what was probably the WORST meal of my life. The place was filthy, the staff was filthy too. As soon as I saw the employee responsible for sides eating fries at her station I should have walked out. As soon as I saw the over cooked lump they called brisket that disintegrated on the cutting board I should have walked out. But I decided to see it through. The woman that was cutting the meat kept complaining that the knifes were all dull as she hacked away at what looked like greasy shoe leather. No pickles, no onions, a dried out roll with some warm butter and 2 sides. The mac and cheese was mush. The potato casserole was dried up instant mash potatoes. The sausage was dry, old and bitter tasting. The bbq sauce was watery and the lemonade was pretty much straight water. All the food was COLD. As I tried to choke the food down I see the employee who was cutting meat hacking and gagging all over her “food service glove” and the counter. The older lady at the sides just kept on snacking as a toddler ran around in the kitchen. As I looked around I could see crud literally hanging from table edges. No paper towels, no condiments…. Then I noticed a blanket and a pillow stuffed into the corner booth with other personal items. I don’t know if it was seeing the filthy environment or the food itself but I couldn’t stomach another bite and threw 2/3 of a $20 meal in the trash and walked out. I tried to call the phone number listed on Facebook and it is disconnected. I know times are hard right now but this is...
Read moreHello guys Im from outta state. I decided to take the 2.5 hour drive to get some good barbecue. Take my wife on a date. Heard great reviews. The meals I ordered were bbq pulled pork combo and a 2 meat plate. Got the food I wish it wouldhavebeenhotter. I like my food hot. The bun was hard cold like they just pulled out of the fridge lol, the sandwich had no barbecue at all on it plain pulled pork. Maybe i have to ask for that special, frys tasted like they've been rewawarmed. Still warm though There was some nice things. The Coca-Cola was awesome, great, and ice cold just how I like it .The ice was super Awesome The ( Crushed Kind). I wish the had fresh lemonade. That goes great with Barbecue or sweet tea mm mm mmm. The set up atmosphere was pretty cool. Loved the red floors. Looked smooth as ice. Outside i Didn't no it was Barbecue not real inviting but inside looked nice. I mean none of the tables were wiped down Maybe theyve been busy. But I. Just wanted a seat dont really bother me. I dont know if i just came at a bad tyme 7pm but there was no manager I could see there to talk to or to get My money back or food warmed up or a side of barbecue. . It's probably like 15 dollars a meal. For Barbecue that's pretty cheap. Barbecue is expensive to make I will probably come back $30+ for 2 people. Rt now Fast food is a luxury I would try earlier in the day if I try again though. Long drive for not hot food and an unhappy wife.. I'm just bummed out . Other dickies barbecue are amazing . Give it a try . The chicken was Wonderful seasoned

Read moreI was in Coldwater for the first time today, and wanted something to eat I'd never had before. My husband picked this place. We got there right when they opened, with a group of about 10 behind us. There was one guy working. We ordered pulled pork sandwiches, fries, and mac & cheese (I had asked for cole slaw but was told he had to make it, so it would be a wait). The guy working was 10/10, doing his best to get our orders made, while taking the group orders and getting them out, all by himself, and very friendly. It took about 15 minutes to get our food. Not bad. The pulled pork was delicious. Extremely tender & flavorful, and the bun was soft & seemed fresh. Fries were also great, just a very small portion. The mac & cheese was straight frozen Stouffer's. The downsides: the restaurant is disgusting. Every table had a layer of greasy fingerprints and they all needed a good wipe down. The floor was filthy, there was actually a pile of old food near the trash can, including a pile of rib bones. There was a huge stack of dirty trays above the trash cans. Bug zappers on the walls, the delivery van had a flat tire.. Oh! The entire coke machine was also completely empty. Every selection was 'unavailable'. There was tea and lemonade out, but I would bet they were from the day before. The cups, lids, and straws weren't stocked either. We got there right when they opened, so clearly all these things had been there since at least the day before. The place needs a deep cleaning for sure. And better closing employees. I can't imagine what the back looks like if they aren't even taking care of the parts...
