This is the second time that we have eaten here. We stopped here on our way back from Indiana. The restaurant sits between two odls railroad tracks and I think it used to be a railroad station. That would explain it's distinct layout. Now I have to say that the service was much faster than the first time that we ate here. It was about five minutes from the time we ordered until we got our food. The plates were very hot. The food was good and tasty. I had the Mexico Special which was a chicken burrito covered in white cheese with rice and beans. My wife had the the fried chimichanga with beef tips. Our daughter got the #6 combo. The portion sizes were good. We all had food left on air plates when we were done. My wife really liked the cheese on her chimichanga. She was eating that by itself with the chips. That brings me to the chips and salsa that they brought out. The chips were thick but the flavor was off. They tasted more like bulk food service chips. The salsa was okay but it was the thin blender type. I am more of a fan of chunkier salsas. My daughter thought it was funny that they filled the salsa bowls from a large two gallon pitcher. Overall, the restaurant was a nice place to eat at comparable prices to other Mexican restaurants where we have dined. The chips and salsa kept it from...

Its been good before.. but today its been over 2 hours and we just got the last of our food.. our group ate in 30min sections.. by the time some of us finished someone else would get their food.. and 1/4 of our orders are wrong (we didnt even bother to correct them just dont want to keep waiting). They never even offered us more water. The food is okay but not so good its worth this. Not to mention i got the seafood chimichingas and they turned out to be Way smaller than the normal ones (like 1.5"x3" in size, not exaggerating) even though they cost 50% more than the normal ones.. they're not fantastic either, not bad, but nothing special, just has a few shimp inside instead of beef.. just a disapointment. I left frustrated with knowing that i had paid for this ..I wont be returning. And i might pick up something else to eat on the way home. (Edit: forgot to mention, the first couple people to get their food got rice, then they started saying there was no more rice.. so the next few people that got food didnt get any rice, ..but then the last few people to be served got rice with their food again.. so..idk what was up with that.. but that...

Unfortunately our second experience was terrible. Ordered a strawberry margarita that tasted like cherry cough syrup. I let them know that I couldn't drink it because of how horrible it was, they still charged me. Ordered the same combo as my 1st visit and it arrived served differently. My chalupa had beans on the underside which stuck it to thr plate so that it couldn't be picked up... beans go on a tostadas not Chalupas. Our chips were served cold. I have never eaten Mexican chips and salsa at a restaurant without warmed chips. The queso was not melted through...chunks of hardened cheese the size of a golf ball. Had to take it home and heat it up to get rhe clumps and chunks out. I explained that had had 2 very different experiences between the 2 visits. She still did not offer any discounts or even an apology. We...

Dirty tables. Told server but was still never cleaned. Had to ask for silverware and napkins. Food was very subpar and not worth the money. We were passing through on our way home. We have a couple similar Mexican restaurants near where we live that are much higher quality service and food. We were very disappointed with this experience. 😔 this picture was what was left of my fajita chicken salad after i picked at it. This was served in a not so crispy shell due to how wet the filling was.

I ordered the chori-queso, quesa birria tacos, a Jamica and a michelada. The chori-queso was good and at a reasonable price. There was a mix up with the quesa birria tacos I ordered. The server didn't hear me right and I didnt confirm the order either. Nonetheless my regular birria tacos were still good. The server did bring me a bit of consome for the tacos. The Michelada was was cold and had a decent flavor. The jamica was also good. Overall the restaurant is good.

The building was quite intriguing for its historical background of being the original train depot of Coldwater. The food was typical for American/Mexican cuisine. The homemade salsa was delicious! The staff was very friendly and prompt. Nothing really stood out here’s besides the historical atmosphere that seems to be over-run by Mexican decor. Great place if you have that craving for a quick burrito.
