Worst place to go- ever. I don't know what professional and courteous staff other reviewers ran into, but they weren't there on the days I was in. I had two elderly people who were patients there- they came down with COVID symptoms, so I contacted the office to obtain a prescription. We had TWO DAYS of runaround between the staff and a doctor that never seems to be in or be able to take patients. That's a long time to waste for the prescription. They went so far as to say that one of them could not get the prescription until they, AND I QUOTE, "come into the office for a renal test." 1. You want someone with full-blown COVID, who can barely stand, to come into the office and wait around other patients. 2. I know for a fact you can prescribe a lower dosage if renal tests are not available or with reduced renal function. That being said, someone there finally said I could bring in a home test and they'd run the prescription for one of them. Now, at this point, I have also been exposed to two people with full-blown COVID (which they know) and they made me wait in the lobby for fifteen minutes while they decided whether or not to make good on their promise. I tried to stay away from people, but what kind of "health professionals" are they? Secondly, another patient went in for a UTI infection. In the 21st century, people can call their primary provider, go for a test at a clinic and get a prescription- as anyone who has had a UTI knows, they are nothing to mess with and can have lasting effects and permanent damage to the kidneys. The staff REFUSED to help her, saying they weren't taking appointments that day. They're open, but not taking appointments? Can't even set up a test for the clinic to confirm a UTI and get a prescription? This is pretty basic stuff, and of course, they failed miserably. They don't care about their patients, they are ill-informed, careless and classless. The nearby clinic did treat the person and said they get a lot of patients from Oaklawn because of the staff, doctors and attitudes there. Believe me or not, but the staff there would never treat someone they knew or loved like they treated these people. They wouldn't know a hippocratic oath if it walked in needing an appointment. Very disappointing. We are working to move them to...
Read moreI am new to this and practice! I was extremely upset that the office staff is allowed to wear perfumes and body sprays to work! It is a medical facility and people with allergies, breathing difficulties and medical needs come there for a healing environment. I was in distress my entire appointment and I feel it impacted my ability to build a meaningful relationship with the physician. I had a migraine, cough, itching ears and sinus pressure after being subject to their perfumes for more than 10 mins and I was unable to effectively talk about my concerns at hand. I felt that the staff wanted me out as quickly as possible because I was upset. The doctor was nice and calming. The Lab Technician was amazing and she genuinely tried to get to know me...
Read moreWe seen Cecelia Stalhood today for out appts because Melinda has left the office. She seems like a very nice lady. My main issue with our appts is my sleep. It is not OK to ask me or require me to take away a medication that I’ve used for years to help me sleep. And not replace it with something else. 3 hours a day of sleep is not enough for someone to function properly. Someone who deals with chronic pain And mental health needs their Sleep, or those things get aggravated and get worse. Then to say she didn’t need to see us for 3 months like it’s OK for me to continue to have three hours of sleep for 3 months.. Otherwise, Our visit was fine today. I know that we’re new to her but it’s still not OK to not help me with...
