Had a lunch date here last week. Service was interesting. We were seated and waited about 15-20m for our order to be taken. After that it was an additional 30+ minutes to receive our food (our waitress was also the bartender). My issue came in when another group came in and were brought to their table in our section, they were greeted immediately with a smile and welcome, they were asked what they would like and given recommendations. Within 10m they received their apps. They also placed their orders which came out around the same time as ours.
The entire time we sat and waited, no one checked on us to see if we were ok. However their waitress continually checked on them.
I noticed that myself & my husband were seated in the same vicinity but had different wait staff. Another couple (also African American) came in and were seated in the vicinity but was in the section of our waitress/bartender as well.
The other couple who was sat behind us had a different young lady as their waitress. The same waitress who continually checked on the group who came in a bit after us and was greeted differently/served early.
I got the vibe that African American guests were definitely not treated with the same vigor and welcoming energy especially considering the same woman who warmly welcomed the group after us (who were not African American) was the same lady who walked us to our table and walked away.
I let my husband know that had we not placed our orders. I would have suggested we leave. Do not believe I will be returning to this location. I will give props where it is due, the food was good but I believe the same service should be given to all costumers no matter what...
Read moreWe didn’t eat at the Iron Rooster. I went to the Iron Rooster website and got on the waitlist using the link on their site. It said that the wait would be 10-20 minutes. I went to the restaurant and after 30 minutes I went to check in at the hostess stand. She was very nice and told me that they had been having problems with the ToastTab website they use to manage waitlist and orders so they weren’t using it. She said that she would try to fit us in but that it would be at least another 30 minutes and possibly much longer. I spoke to the manager who said that he was aware of the problem but that there was nothing he could do. A huge part of managing a restaurant is finding a way to reasonably resolve problems and today at the Iron Rooster not only did the manager do nothing to try to resolve the problem that they created, he wasn’t even apologetic. He basically just said it wasn’t his fault and that there was nothing he could do. A simple solution would have been to see when the app took my name and place me on their waitlist in that order based on timing but he wouldn’t even do that. Very poor customer service. The Iron Rooster should consider investing in better management.
Update to my post. The Iron Rooster replied as you can see on Google and ask me to reach out directly so that they could find out more about my experience. I sent them an email the same day telling them I’d be happy to answer questions to help them improve their service. Now, a month later, no reply from Iron Rooster. They clearly wanted it to appear publicly that they cared about my experience but have made no effort to address it privately....

Iron Rooster delivered an outstanding brunch experience from start to finish! The atmosphere was warm and welcoming—perfect for a relaxing Sunday meal with family.
Our server, Linda, was phenomenal! Not only was she attentive and friendly, but her impeccable drink recommendations made our experience even better. The entire staff was fantastic—helpful, accommodating, and genuinely pleasant.
The food was excellent, but what really impressed me was how readily they accommodated menu modifications. As someone who requires GERD-friendly options, I was pleased with the variety of choices. I ordered the Parmesan Crusted Chicken Panini and asked for the tomatoes to be removed to better suit my dietary needs—no hesitation, no fuss, just great service. It arrived perfectly prepared, still packed with flavor, and absolutely delicious.
Of course, we couldn’t pass up the drinks—the mimosas and mocktails were top-notch, fresh, and perfectly balanced. For a family of four, including two entrees, an add-on item, two kids' meals with beverages, two mimosas, and two mocktails, our total was around $110—a great value for the quality and experience.
If you're looking for a brunch spot that offers fantastic food, great service, and a willingness to accommodate dietary needs, Iron Rooster is the place to be!
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended!
