This would have initially gotten zero stars from me, but due to the excellent professionalism of the manager, Miya, and the good food and service from our waiter Kevin, I came up quite unexpectedly. So here's the story; got there and upon walking we were ask if we had a reservation. To which, I am thinking, is this place only by reservation at 4:30 p.m.? We said no. The young college student looking hostess informed us that it would be a 30 minute waite. As we had just dropped off kids with grandma for just a few ours break, 30 minutes sounded long, but since we wanted to check this place out and liked the outside seating, I went back to ask the hostess if there was a chance of being seated earlier if we waited. At this point another hostess (we will call her Blond and Frumpily Dressed for Work) rudely responded, "Mam I don't have enough waiters for all the tables and until I do, I am not seating anyone." I was taken aback at the rude and agressive tone especially as I had been polite and pleased with my question. I thank her, put the menu I was looking at down and walked out. I went a few steps, turned around, went back in, asked for the manager. When she came, I explained what had happened and how I had no intention of ever patronizing the Hall. Miya handled like a pro. She apologized for BFDW and said she had would speak to her, she asked us to stay and offered to seat us right away. I wanted to refuse, but my husband was willing to give the place a second chance, so we accepted. She sat us at the outside table where there were plenty empty tables (which BFDW) could have simply sat us at while we waited for service. Our waiter Kevin arrived and explained that he was manning many tables and would try his best to serve us, but may take more time than normal. He was very professional and pleasant and I appreciated his candor. We decided to order everything that we wanted at once to make easy for him. The food and drinks came faster than expected and it was actually really good. I can't help thinking they should fire BFDW and give...

We've only ordered takeout. The food is delicious. Picking up the food sometimes takes longer than it needs to. On one occasion, I entered the restaurant, and the hostess stand was unattended. I chalked that up to the place being busy and decided to be patient. I did see a group of waitresses standing in the corner and choosing not to acknowledge me standing there. I decided to withhold writing a review and chalk it up to being an off day for the restaurant. I am, however, choosing to rate this place 2 stars due to the unprofessionalism of the events coordinator. I saw on the website that they offer private dining. We are planning an event in a few months and I wanted more information on what The Hall CP offered. I should have known better. But the food was delicious and I wanted to give the place another shot. I submitted an inquiry form 1 month ago. I wanted about 2 weeks to send another request. I considered that maybe there is something wrong with their website and it would be better to call. When I called in, I was met with a person who seemed inconvenienced to answer a phone call. When I explained that I have been trying for a month to receive information on private dining, I was told I would get contacted once the coordinator gets around to it... It has been close to a week since that phone call and I still haven't received a follow up... I suppose they don't want my business. Why even advertise that you can host events if you won't follow up to inquiries? It's becoming obvious to me that they don't rank customer service as a priority. Maybe they think they can coast on the quality of their food to compensate for their poor quality of employees. Maybe they think since their clientele is mostly college students, they don't have to do the bare minimum. I hope this place improves. The food is really good, the service is...

Not a great experience. The day we went it was not super crowded yet it took a long time for the server to even make the 1st visit. She came, we said we were in a hurry so we ordered drinks and gave her our full order(4 items off the brunch menu + 2 appetizers). We proceeded to wait over 40mins for our food. When they brought it, because they didn't even think to bring the appetizers out 1st so we could be finished those before the food came, the table was crowded with food almost toppling over, stares from everyone around us, so we asked for to-go boxes. We start boxing the food on the table next to us, the manager comes and tells us to move the items. I asked for another soft drink because we'd drank our drinks already because the food took so long to come. Note the server had already bought the check because we had asked for it with the to go boxes once we saw how everyone was looking at us with the food looking crazy on this little table. The server snatches the check off the table to add the soft drink, now to be honest with you we're past annoyed at this point. I asked her what she was doing, she said, adding the drink to the check, I said with this service and as long as this food took to come out you're going to be petty enough to add an extra soft drink to the bill? I told my guest, let's go, paid the check and we left. Let me just say that I have gotta a free soft drink for less than this situation at restaurants that were run way better. Because it's not about the drink, it's the principle. We won't be back. Oh and the appetizers that should have come out first, they were cold when they bought them out with the rest of our food indicating they were "sitting" in the window. They were also burnt. Better management and common sense...

Attended a successful and fun event at the Hall. The event was hosted in a large room with separate bar, entrance and the stage in place. Atmosphere was decorated properly for the holiday and open concept. With optional outdoor seatings available. If I remembered it correctly, the maximum indoor capacity is 250 people. For this particular event space. If you have more than 200 guess the outdoor space will be opened up for additional rooms. Our food and drinks were catered from the hall . For the drinks, they were very accommodating. For our open bar, we had options of everything you can think of , including from wine, whiskey, tequila, sparkling wine, beer, and more . Our catered food included steak, ham, deviled eggs, chicken, salmon roll, vegan options and many delicious desserts. Staff at the hall were super friendly, considerate and helpful. Many are students of University of Maryland. We should definitely support them and be kind when visiting. Props to the hardworking kitchen staff. They worked so hard and made our experience very memorable. Thank you 🙏 Highly recommend by @WineDinenVacay

I’ve been to The Hall a few times and very much enjoy coming here. The first time I got this awesome meat and tater tots bowl. I forgot what it was called and I didn’t see it on the menu this time. This time I got the Ole Bae pizza and I was very disappointed. It was so bland so I’d say to NEVER order this. I had to find things to dip it in just to add flavor or substance, and I landed on the delicious cheese sauce that comes with the Bag O’Fries. The Apps are good here, so dig in! My favorite is The Biggest Mozz Sticks, but go with whatever sounds best to you. If you’re having trouble deciding on an entree, just go with a burger. The burger here is good (they somewhat overdid a medium) and I wish I got a burger instead of the pizza this time. The service is satisfactory and the atmosphere is great. The main area is usually crowded and loud with a bar lining the front wall. There is a ballroom that is also used for seating when needed and has large TVs. There’s also a fun outdoor seating area with some games, too. Overall, I can’t give The Hall 5-stars, but I will give it a 4-Stars!
