This will be my last time patronizing this business. The uber app said my order was ready, but when I arrived they hadn't started on the order. While I was waiting, I noticed the price listed for the cake slices at the store was $3.50, but on the app it was listed for $4.99. I confirmed with the cashier that they had the red velvet cake because I didn't see any in the cooler and he said yes. When I received my order, the bag was closed. This was the first red flag since they routinely show the customer the food prior to closing the bag). When, I opened the bag there was a lemon cake instead of the red velvet. I told the cashier I ordered lemon and I presume the manager replied they didnt have it. So I asked for a refund, and he said ok and gave me $4.00. I stated I paid $4.99 for the cake and he said Uber added a service charge. I replied it was not a service and the other food items I purchased did not have this charge. He then gave me another dollar and I replied I paid tax on the item. After going back and forth, he gave me $6.00. Obviously, this is terrible customer service that is routine from asian owned businesses in black communities. I will not return to this business and I hope others read...

This restaurant is located in a bad part of town. My 11-year-old and I were staying at a hotel a couple miles away and Legend Cafe had good reviews so I decided to give it a try. The restaurant interior was clean but the food was not very good at all. My daughter got the wings combo w/ fries. The drink cup was huge, which was nice. She liked her wings fine but the fries weren't edible. They had no seasoning or salt on them whatsoever. My chicken Philly was bad. The chicken was dry and there was nothing put on the bread to make it sing. The chicken Philly from a restaurant in my area (JD Wings) is yummy...this one was crummy. I ate as much as I could so I wouldn't starve in our hotel room and threw the rest away. Oh as we were walking to our car with our food, we're pretty sure we witnessed a drug deal on the sidewalk outside the Food Mart. Giving 2 stars: one for the wings and one for the large cup size in...

While Legends Cafe may offer satisfying meals, especially the popular fried chicken, it’s important—particularly for African Americans—to reflect on the long-term cost of such choices. For the price of one meal, you could buy a jumbo bag of party wings, rice, and ingredients to prepare multiple meals at home, saving money and improving your health. It’s disheartening to see our community consistently pour resources into businesses that rarely reinvest in us, contributing to a cycle where our dollars—and our well-being—are depleted. This isn’t just about food; it’s about shifting our mindset toward long-term wellness, financial responsibility, and self-sufficiency. We must raise our standards, prioritize education, and make intentional choices that serve our future, not just our cravings.

I ordered the sweet and sour chicken from the Chinese menu. Once my food came it was a spicy sauce on the meat and I looked of confusion because anytime I received sweet and sour chicken, the chicken is breaded with a fluffy exterior and I’m able to dip it in a sweet thick flavorful sauce. What I received was not the same. The sauce smelled like vinegar and My food taste old and the rice is hard. Also who puts canned pineapples on top of chicken. . I feel like I wasted my money. I do appreciate James for his great customer service.I will never go back to the establishment for food but I would go back for the desserts. The Food is not the same it’s over rated.the egg roll was not cooked all the way as well

Not great. They added black pepper to the lo main. Not traditional and tasted weird. Then it was too greasy but too dry at the same time. Meat was heavily over salted. Portion size was good and noodle texture was good - but for the $16 price point... definitely not worth it. EDIT: Tried again. Can't give another star but won't take one. The wings were pretty good and big - but the rice was basically inedible. WAY too much soy sauce in it so it was way too salty... and some of the meat was like shoe leather it was so tough. I picked the shrimp out after two bites and tossed the rest. Their prices are TOO HIGH for subpar food.
