FIRST TIME CUSTOMER!!
Had a reservations for 3 people on Sunday February 25th 2024 @ 12:15pm. After we were seated it took the waitress between 10-30 mins just to come to table to say hello and bring Water which we, I had to ask for because she didn’t ask us and other drinks ordered. We ordered our food all within that same time because of the wait every time she came to the table we were like ok can we get this and get that. We sat and watched as everyone else around with parties of 2, 3-5 people or more tables get their food before ours, mind these parties were also seated after we were seated with time intervals between 30 mins or more. Now mind the fact the restaurant has a 2 hour limit on a table due to the location, the service, and the wait of other customers, We sat at that table for 3 hours with NO FOOD, the waitress was not coming back and forth to table either to ask if we were ok or needed any more water or drinks or to even let us know what was going on with the food. I ordered the Lamb with scrambled eggs meal asked for meat to be cooked medium which means that each side 4 minutes and the other was a Omelette and the other was the seafood grits meal. Each meal was not heavy and not a lot or long cooking time to have been waiting for 3 hours for food with everyone else getting their food as well. The waitress was not moving with any urgency to bring anything to the table, we had to ask about the food after 2 hours had past and told us 5 more mins within them 5 mins 3 tables of food came out around us again and at this point we’re ok this is UNACCEPTABLE CUSTOMER SERVICE busy or not because like I said we had reservations and were on time and seated but did not receive any service at all technically. After we asked again for the food the manager on duty at the time went to check and came back and still stated to us that it was still being cooked, so we cooking eggs and grits for hours for one table now or just that the waitress was moving slow and put our order in whenever she decided to do so because she tried to make up and excuses about it that if we were slow on ordering it’s because of the service of the waitress going and coming to the table not because we were saying come back or we not ready yet because that was not the case which we never did or say to her at all, every time she came by or past the table we stopping her to put orders in. I sat in your restaurant for 3 hours and did not eat anything and then was told that I had to pay for it which I did not because I never saw, touched or ate from a plate. For the inconvenience no one at my table should have paid for anything due to the HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE we received which was no CUSTOMER SERVICE at all. I have worked in the restaurant food industry before and CUSTOMER SERVICE is VERY IMPORTANT especially now with the Inflation prices. I will never go back to that location or even the establishment business not one location in Georgia. I had also just the seen the owner of the location and business on the news talking about being a black woman business owner, so when I knew where we were going I was like OK let’s see and give this black woman business owner a shot. Well Ms. Owner your staff at that location needs to be re-trained your whole staff from the front to the back of house because no one showed the CUSTOMER SERVICE experience that you expect your staff to show and give. Read moreMy friend and I decided to stop here for brunch, Sunday (10/13)as she had eaten at the other location and really enjoyed the food. This was my first time dining. When we arrived we walked around as we parked across the street and didn't know where the entrance was located. The hostess saw us walk pass came outside and escorted us to the correct entrance. Note there were 2 employees sitting outside that said nothing as we were searching for the entrance. The hostess pulled our reservation and seated us. The DJ was playing great selections and the atmosphere was good. The server came by the table took drink and food orders. After a 15 minute wait our drinks came to the table. My friend asked when the 2 hour time started for the unlimited mimosas. She then advised the server, KRISTAL, that she would like to try a different flavor once she completed her first drink. We did verify this was allowed prior to making the request. The server bought the 2nd drink and my friend asked for another straw as the server had taken the one with the other drink. The server then asks my friend what her zodiac sign was. After my friend answered, the server states yeah makes sense because you're demanding. At this time, we are still waiting on our appetizer and we have been seated for at least 30 minutes at this point. The appetizer arrives hot and was actually good. We ordered the Fried Green Tomatoes. We were enjoying the music and did not notice the time. Our entrees arrived cold. We advised the server, who proceeds to tell us that was incorrect because the kitchen doesn't send out cold food. My friend asked if a microwave could be use to reheat our food as we just wanted it hot. She replied that the kitchen did not have a microwave. This was odd information. We then asked if we could have it remade. She removed the food and left the table. The hostess came by and asked if we needed anything, as she was cleaning and setting up the table next to us for another party. I begin to tell her the situation. She stated she would go and check on the status of the food. Before the hostess could leave the server returns and says why you telling her? She doesn't have anything to do with it and begins to try and reprimand the hostess. I stated she was not intervening as she was just making sure we didn't need anything and I expressed my concern. I then requested a manager. We have now been seated for over an hour and no entrees. The manager comes to the table, asks the situation and I fill her in. She was very apologetic and offered compensation. At this point, I was completely disgusted and requested my check so I could leave. It is really disheartening to receive service like this and they are charging top dollar and adding gratuity to checks over $50! My entree was $28 and unlimited mimosas $25, so I would have had to pay involuntarily for crappy service. The atmosphere,hostess staff, and manager were great! The server ruined it. Please employ people that understand the vision of the restaurant and aim to provide that service to those patrons that keep you in business and...
Read moreI came here with a friend on a Saturday afternoon. We were greeted and seated promptly.
Food: I order the deviled eggs as my appetizer and the glazed salmon as my entree. My food was really good. The glaze on the salmon was also on the mashed potatoes which complemented it well. I also had the spinach that came with it. It did have an Alfredo noodle in it. The server said it was probably because the two dishes are cooked next to one another that some accidentally got in there. I was understanding of this. However, because pasta has gluten in it and some people have gluten allergies, I think it’s important to ensure separate cookware is being used for each dish, to try not to get food mixed up like that. Or to cook far enough apart to not accidentally have some fall into another dish. Other than that, my meal was really tasty. My friend ordered the stuffed chicken and said it was well seasoned.
Service: The service was good. I can’t remember the name of our server but she asked me what she could do to make it right for the pasta getting mixed in the spinach. It wasn’t a big deal to me though so we left it at that. She refilled my water quite often which I appreciated. The main entrees did take a little long to come out which is fine but I think a little heads up from our server would’ve been greatly appreciated. Like a “hey the kitchen is busy but your dinner will be out in about 20 minutes” or something like that. The menu was available through QR code. I think the host should offer a physical menu upon seating as a standard because some people may be like me and not have good phone reception for the online menu to load.
Atmosphere: It was very lively. The staff was very friendly and personable. I believe this establishment is black owned and operated. The volume was pretty loud in there so not the most intimate setting. There was also a birthday being celebrated that night which we weren’t aware of until the birthday music volume shot up to MAX volume with no warning whatsoever. I understand that this is a lively place and isn’t advertised as quiet spot, but considering how loud and sudden that song was, I think a heads up from the server would’ve been appropriate. It instantly went from volume 20 to 100 with no warning. Startled me a bit.
Also it’s worth noting:
-For parties of 5 or more people 18% gratuity is included in the bill -For a table that purchases $50 or more of food/beverage, 18% gratuity is included in bill (so if you are coming here to enjoy a meal with a friend, the bill will almost ALWAYS be at least $50, and even if you separate the check, to pay for your own food, gratuity will STILL be included because it’s $50 or more per table)
