Lunch for 2 We entered the restaurant and the bartender told us we could sit anywhere. My friend and I found a booth and made ourselves comfortable.  Looking around, I could see the ambiance was very very casual.  The interior dining room is medium sized and I noticed they had some outside seating, as well. We sat for a little while and then our server came over with the menu and took our drink orders. My friend ordered a ginger beer and I asked if they had any beers on tap. She advised they only had cans and bottles and proceeded to list what was available. I ordered the Sweetwater 420 Pale Ale.    We reviewed the menu and both decided to get the half dozen wings plate.  I chose the Dry Rub Wings and my friend ordered the Smoked Wings. We were chatting it up and before we knew it, the food was already coming out and it looked delicious.  We started digging in and the food was every bit as delicious as it looked.  My wings were super crispy and well-seasoned, and my sides of collard greens and baked beans paired perfectly with my meal. My friend echoed my sentiments and enjoyed his meal just as much.  We were wrapping it up and asked for a couple of togo boxes and the bill. I also tried to explain to our server  that we both ordered the half dozen wing meals, but received the full dozen, instead. She adamantly told us we did not order the half dozen and totally dismissed our concerns.  I chalked it up to miscommunication, but she was not trying to hear our side or even trying to accommodate us as the customer.  I let it go and asked for the bill, only to be met with sticker shock.  As I said, the food was delicious, but $95 for 2 chicken wing meals with 2 sides and cornbread, 1 ginger beer and Pale Ale.  I asked for a print out of the itemized bill and reviewed everything to ensure no extra items were added by accident. Everything matched up and looked correct.  That's when the server informed us that gratuities had already been added to our bill, without prior communication.   So why exactly is there a 20% auto gratuity added for a party of 2 on a Friday at lunchtime? Things that make you go hmmmmmmm!   We paid the bill and left, feeling disappointed by the lackluster service and exorbitant prices. While the food was undoubtedly delicious, the poor service and high prices overshadowed our overall...

I smelled the food through the bag. Let's start right there because that's always a good sign. No cooking for me tonight. I decided to try a spot I had never been to bit still in my neighborhood.

I am a staunch believer in supporting businesses in The Tri-City area of East Point, College Park, Hapeville because that's where I have lived for the past 17 years. This location is across the street from College Park Marta station.

Now let's open the bag which was heavy I might add. The aroma of hickory smoked barbecue jumped out at me as soon as I opened the bag. The container was slightly open.

I ordered a combo of chicken and ribs with two sides. There was a sizable chicken thigh-leg quarter, 3 rib bones, collard greens and macaroni and cheese with a piece of corn bread. It came with two containers of barbecue sauce but I requested extra mustard barbecue sauce as well.

Chicken- seasoned with a barbecue dry rub that was smoky and slightly sweet. The bird was juicy not burnt or dry and had a smoke ring. Dipped in either sauce it was good.

Ribs- 1 of the bones was a burnt end but the flavor was delicious and real barbecue. Y'all stop giving us the burnt end with no meat on it. The other piece I had was good.

Macaroni and Cheese- This was made with some love. The right combination of cheeses and butter along with seasonings. It's not bland nor dry. It met my expectations. Macaroni is iffy at some places. Not here

Collard Greens - These are fresh greens. Not frozen or canned. That's a win in itself. Who is washing and cutting greens these days? Hardly anyone in the restaurant world. I am thankful that the flavor was not over the top. It was under salted (that's a +) and was not sweet. I can't tell you how many times I have tried greens that were too salty, too much vinegar or too sweet. Weird. Not the case here. Ate them up.

Cornbread is like a piece of cake almost. Most days I like it like that.

Regular sauce- Delicious. You can taste the smoky sweet flavor and seasonings

Mustard barbecue sauce - This is on point. It has a different flare.

Cons- the bottom of the bag was wet from the greens juice. Either drain well, use double bags or put in a separate closed container.

There was no silverware in the bag but it had plenty of napkins.

Go see these folks when...

I walked past this restaurant. I was hungry and curious about the food. I went inside and was handed a menu. I decided to order the leg quarter meal. While waiting for my food, I ordered a couple drinks. An hour later, I still did not have my food. I was there on a Tuesday at 4:30pm on 03/07/23. So not many customers were there. I asked the waiter about my food and asked how much longer it would be. He went to the back and asked the cook. He came back and said they ran out of chicken leg quarters.

Had I not asked where my meal was, were they ever going to tell me, they ran out of chicken leg quarters? WHEN were they going to tell me?

I found that to be rude and disrespectful and not valuing my time nor money to have me waiting for an hour for food they allegedly ran out of. And if they ran out of the food, then common sense would be to inform the bartender and servers they are out of particular food items so customers don't waste their time ordering and waiting.

The bartender told the kitchen to make me a burger. That was my second choice.

I told the bartender I had a scheduled call I needed to get on at 6:30pm. And I was not expecting to be there long and I cannot keep waiting. At 6:00pm, I still did not have my food. The bartender brought the food out at 6:10pm. They had the audacity to try to charge me $46 and some change for food that was close to 2 hours late. Ain't no way, I was going to pay for the disrespect. I looked in the food box with the fries and burgers, and the fries were burnt and the burger looked lackluster. I did pay for my drinks that came to $36 for two drinks, plus gratuity. I was not happy about that either because the experience left me disgusted.

Anyway, it was a terrible experience. I would not recommend this restaurant. And I will never be returning. 👎🏾 There are too many delicious barbecue places that will value me as a customer and who will value my support and money into...

From the moment I sat down at the black iron patio table, beer in hand, I knew I was in for something memorable. The kind of BBQ that makes you forget the rest of your week, reset your soul, and—if you’re lucky—restore your faith in smoked meats. Do yourself a favor and order the combo plate. That’s where the magic happens. Build it your way, but let me give you two non-negotiables: brisket and baked beans. The brisket isn’t just good—it’ll save your life. Perfectly smoked, with that deep bark you dream about and a tenderness that borders on spiritual. The beans? They’ll change your life. Rich, smoky, carrying just enough sweetness to balance the plate. They’re the kind of beans that make you wonder if you’ve been living wrong up until now. The ribs were equally impressive—meaty, flavorful, kissed with just enough char to remind you they’d been treated with respect in the pit. Add in the cornbread muffin, and here’s where the brilliance of the staff takes it to the next level: my server, Alysa, suggested pairing the cornbread with the collard greens. She was right. That combination unlocked a depth of flavor I didn’t see coming—earthy, buttery, tangy, and deeply satisfying. Service matched the food: Alysa kept everything moving with a genuine warmth that never felt forced. The team behind the scenes—Rosie, Mikh, and Khalid in the kitchen, Justin at the host stand, and Trevor and Jamie managing—was clearly firing on all cylinders. This wasn’t just dinner, it was teamwork you could taste. By the time I wiped the last bit of sauce off my plate, I wasn’t just full—I was grateful. This wasn’t a meal. It was an experience. One that makes you write down names so you don’t forget the folks who made it happen. If you ever find yourself near this place, pull up a chair on the patio, order the combo plate with brisket, beans, and collards, and let the rest of the world wait
