Discriminatory practices. Fri afternoon Oct 4th 2024 I went to sit at The Piano Bar & asked the female bartender there if I could get a diet Coke and she said "No you cannot sit at the bar unless you order liquor.". And then I think she said something about ordering a pizza and I said okay I'll order food so I first ordered my cocktail and then went over and ordered a big salad from the pizza place next door with a different name ( not knowing the pizza place is actually the same restaurant ) . As I was eating my salad I noticed She told not one other person who came to sit at the bar that they had to order an alcoholic beverage. I didn't want to have any alcohol but I drank my cocktail anyway, Only because she told me it was mandatory. After observing interactions with multiple other patrons I asked the bartender why she told me I had to order an alcoholic beverage to sit at the bar. She said "Because you do". And then I pointed out The young lady sitting next to me did not order any alcohol. She said "That's because she ordered food". And then I said "But I ALSO ordered food. I had a HUGE salad "(& she knew that because she's the one who took my plate away when I was finished). ...But you still told me that to sit at the bar I had to order a cocktail". As soon as you realized there was no valid reason for telling me that she said "Oh, I'm sorry ma'am". I'm a very well-presented business traveler.. So it wasn't because I look like a vagrant or anything. And I spent probably twice as much as all the other patrons who sat next to me....Definitely some kind of discrimination going on there. It made me very...
Read morePosting a review is not of my usual nature. However, I feel as though this would be a warning to people. We are just stopping through and my partner saw the cannoli on the menu (per the Italian, it was a no brainer). The price on the menu is as stated $5.95. However, AFTER my partner paid for the cannoli, the price came out to $12.96…. To my surprise I stated that there should be some clarification as to why the charge is over twice the listed price (I wasn’t aware taxes are so high?!)! The woman at the register stated that, “they haven’t updated the prices on menus yet”. This is in violation of Georgia Fair Business Practices Act (Ga. Code Ann. §§ 10-1-390). “The FBPA states that unfair or deceptive business practices in the marketplace are unlawful. The law contains a non-exhaustive list of actions that are prohibited and among these, include: Falsely representing the price of an item”. (Yes this is copy and paste, however it is factual). While their other foods and services may be good and enjoyable, this is unprofessional of a business and brings caution the prices of other items on their menu, what would happen if a person could only hypothetically afford the $5.95 and not the $12.96. Please do better and if the prices change, be attentive and proactive to...
Read moreMostly Vegan French Dip.
Wait, what? Vegan Fench Dip you say? How is this possible? Are they using some soy based meat substitute that tastes, feels, smells so like beef you won't believe your mouth? Is there some tofu-cheese hybrid that seals the deal? Of course not. What makes this French Dip mostly vegan is that the sandwich, described as being "piled high" with prime rib and cheese contains a total of 1 slice of beef and a half a slice of cheese on a soggy roll, making this culinary wonder approximately 99% bread! One note of warning, however, the mostly empty cup of Au jus supposedly comes from meat (maybe they borrowed it from Arbys?)
Not unsatisfied enough? Have no fear; for only an additional $2 up charge, you can get approximately 15 French fries, though to be honest most of them we just 1 fry broken into smaller fry pieces.
All joking aside, this was the most disappointing sandwich I've ever had, and I get that it's in an airport, but its appalling that they charge $17 for this...
