Bagel Block — Restaurant in College Station

My empathies extend to those who have had bad experiences here. I know how it feels to wait egregiously long for a very simple order, made by people who are in their own social world behind the counter. I went at a time that wasn't busy at all, one early Friday afternoon in the fall.

With that said, I went here once and picked up two items for my mobile order and both were divine. With the first bite, I could tell that the Power Protein Bagel (containing peanut butter and bananas) is leagues better here than at Azimuth Cafe in Langford A (1 of 3 architecture buildings). There, it's made sloppily and far too hot for consumption within the first five minutes.

I’ve been in here several times and the staff of the fall 2025 semester are incredibly hostile to all customers and each other. I understand how difficult it is working in high pressure food service but without fail every time I come in they are shouting at eachother and acting like every customer is personally insulting them by ordering.

The coffee is good but they refuse any drink modifications (I once asked for a mocha with caramel syrup and they flat out said it wasn’t possible) and twice I have paid for a large and gotten a small and been too alarmed a their attitudes to request a remake. Their coffee is much better than Starbucks but that is their one and only...

I ordered kolaches here and they were practically raw, and the iced mocha latte just tastes like chocolate milk lol (no bitter or real chocolate flavor combined with coffee at all...).
