Mai Shan Yun — Restaurant in College Station

Came here for the first time with my kids. Ordered the Beef Ramen, Pork Ramen, House Fried Rice, Mai’s Special Fried Chicken, French Fries, and Fried Pork Dumplings. The ramen isn’t like the Japanese style, but more of Vietnamese style. The beef ramen tasted more of a Vietnamese beef stew soup and the pork ramen was more light and refreshing. The bok choy vegetable was perfectly cooked with some life in it to give a little crunch. The noodles and egg were delicious. Both the beef and pork meats, although flavorful, were a little on the tougher side. I wish it was more tender. The fried rice was pretty flavorful, but I probably wouldn’t order this again. The fries and dumplings were good, but nothing special about them. The chicken wings came out piping hot so be careful especially when you bite into them as the juices and oil is even more hot. Overall, decent priced for the portions you get. We were in the mood for ramen and although, it was pretty good, I’d prefer going to other places such as Kyuramen for that more authentic Japanese thick broth. I will be back here to try their other dishes. We also ordered the mango flavored milk tea which was ok as well.

Staff were very friendly and fast. Lots of tables to dine at and lots of parking, but be sure to scan the QR code as you first enter to get 2 free hours of paper as another company owns this parking lot, so they’ll tow you if you don’t pay. I think 2hrs is a lot of time since the service...

We had been wanting to try this new restaurant for a few weeks now but what sold us to try it was all the customer service reviews AND that the owner replied to every single review! We thought "Ok this is a really good sign if the owners care this much!" and we were not disappointed! Super quaint and cozy, with AMAZING customer service! We ordered the Mai Wing Wheel to try all the wing flavors (great appetizer option for variety!), and really loved the Mia OG and the Coconut flavors. We got the tossed Pork Ramen (delicious) and the Beef Rice Noodle Soup. We really enjoyed the Beef soup but it was just so dang hot that day we knew we'd really love it on a cold day! But would highly recommend the soup dishes as "leftover" dishes because when we warmed up the soup the next day at home the flavor was 10x better after sitting in the fridge overnight! We'll definitely be back to try...

This place is an absolute gem! The food is super fresh with bold and outstanding flavors — I’ve honestly never had ramen and dumplings this good anywhere close to this area. Every bite was packed with flavor, from the rich broths to the perfectly made dumplings and buns.

But it wasn’t just the food — the customer service was just as impressive if not more so. Brittain was our waitress and she was so kind, knowledgeable, and really knew the menu. On top of that, the entire staff was on point. From the moment we were greeted and welcomed in, to being shown our table, served, and checked out — we had excellent service from 4 different people. Phenomenal job all around!
