This particular Burger Mojo unfortunately, did not live up to expectations during my visit. While the concept of a modern, fast-casual burger joint sounded appealing, the execution fell short in several areas.
First, the quality of the food was disappointing. The burgers, while customizable, lacked flavor and came out overcooked and dry. The patties didn’t have the juiciness or seasoning you’d expect from a place that specializes in burgers. Even the toppings seemed underwhelming, with wilted lettuce and under-ripe tomatoes. The fries were also lackluster—soggy and under-seasoned, which didn’t help the overall meal.
The service was another letdown. The staff seemed indifferent and not very attentive. Despite the restaurant not being overly busy, there was a significant wait time for food, and when it finally arrived, the order was incorrect. The disorganization and lack of attention to detail were frustrating, and there wasn’t much effort to correct the issues once they were pointed out.
The atmosphere was also less inviting than I had hoped. The space felt cramped and a bit chaotic, with tables too close together and a noisy environment that made it hard to enjoy the meal. It lacked the comfortable vibe you’d expect from a neighborhood burger place.
Overall, Burger Mojo didn’t deliver on the promise of a quality burger experience. Between the subpar food, slow and inattentive service, and the uncomfortable dining atmosphere, it was a disappointment. With so many great options in College Station, I’d recommend trying somewhere else for a better...
Read moreWhile in town for the weekend we got a hankering for burgers and wanted to do something we couldn’t get in a different town. So late at night we stopped by this location that we had noticed advertising as 25-hr service.
We ordered the Queso Supernova, The G.O.A.T., and the Spicy Patty Melt. They all sounded great on paper, but we didn’t know what to expect with a location that used to be a Wendy’s and attached to a gas station. We were pleasantly surprised though.
The burgers were excellent and the blanco queso was also great. The portions were generous and the Texas craft sodas in the soda fountain were a neat surprise. The coconut cream soda was most fun option.
The interior of the restaurant was cleaner that befits most fast-food joints — let alone small ma-and-pa joints — and the person that served us at the counter was funny and sweet at an hour that you tend to expect transactional conversations. On the whole it wound up being one of the bigger surprises on our weekend trip.
I’d recommend it. Though if you’re put off by the gas-station attached aesthetic they do have a location on...
