John Crompton Park is small, but beautiful, with a little something for everyone, a pond, playground, basketball courts, picnic areas, birds, trees, squirrels, rabbits, snakes—even the occasional foxes and alligators! It also has just enough paths to get in decent walks and runs. In fact, I’ve lost hundreds of pounds walking around the part. True, every one of those pounds found their way back to my kitchen, some of them inviting their friends over. But I’m convinced that’s because I live just across the street. If I lived farther away, I’m sure I’d be skinny as a rail by now.

This park is a wonderful spot for a leisurely walk. Although the playground is compact, it brings some fun for kids. The peaceful ambiance makes it ideal for a laid-back day outdoors, enjoying nature's beauty.

I love this park! Great little place to hang out and hold events. I love the pond and fountain and it is so fun to see the fish, turtles, and ducks! It was also really pretty when it snowed❄️

This is the perfect space for an event hosting 50-70 people. It felt like it had the perfect amount of space and we had plenty of room to eat and lay out a large buffet of food. The play ground and basketball court were well kept. Both of these are close enough to the pavilion that I could see my small children and not be worried they would be in danger.

The park is located next to a 4 lane street with no fencing around in case you have very small children that might wander. As I said, I have small kids and they didn't even notice the street because of the playground.

The pavilion is fully covered so we didn't worry about rain but the playground space is not covered. It is lightly shaded by trees.

Overall I loved this park for hosting an event! Very kind and accommodating staff that helped us book the...

Nice park with restrooms. There is a basketball court and covered pavilion with barbeque pit. The playground is not covered so the slide will get hot and it is facing west so it would be cooler early in the day. There are trees nearby and someone put up a hammock to relax-a lovely idea if you don't have kids. There is a nice trail winding around a pond and creeks. There is a lot of wildlife. Frogs, lizards, and we saw a few baby snakes cross our path but that is to be expected near the water. There were no low water fountains for the dogs to use but there were a few fountains and seating areas around the pathways. There is also a parking lot off the road which...

Great walking paths that are flat and made of concrete so one can traverse them in a wheelchair or mobility scooter if they choose. It's a nice wooded haven nestled within a bustling area filled with apartments that house mostly students from the campus nearby. One can almost imagine themselves in the wilderness because it's so quiet. Along the paths are numerous signs that educate you of the indigenous flora and fauna that can be sighted along the way. There is also a small pond with a quaint little gazebo on the side, not sure if fishing is allowed. Gotta find out...
