Every-time we order on the app it takes at least 20 minutes AFTER we already waited the suggested 20 minutes before going to pick up the order. However, this recent time was just disappointing. We placed an order on the app and went in to get it, however after asking our names they never got back to us on if our order was ready, so we waited for 20 min as usual. Still no food. So we go up to someone and ask again and they tell us our order never went through, which would totally be our bad. So we place the order again and wait another 20-30 minutes, with a few employees coming up and asking our name for our order but never getting back to us. Turns out the app wasn't working and at this point we had waited for an HOUR with no one helping us or even telling us the app was not working. I understand 100% when there are technical difficulties, and do not blame the workers for the apps miss function, however it is ridiculous that we waited for so long with no help other than being asked our name a few times. It is ridiculous to not get back to the customers and just leave them waiting. We would have happily placed an order in the restaurant instead of waiting an hour had the employees been a little more proactive in communicating with us. Will not be using the app ever again and do not recommend this whataburger and its poor customer service. Note: after ordering in person versus the app they got it out to us in 5 minute’s versus the usual 40 minutes we wait for the order. They absolutely do not put any priority on mobile orders even if you wait the full 20 minutes before going in it will take another 20 to actually get the food. Very disappointing that they would leave customers waiting so long. I understand being busy, but this...
Read moreI've got a little story for you Ags. Went to Whataburger looking to get a Breakfast Burger and a Buffalo Ranch Burger. Knowing that the Breakfast Burger is not served until 11PM, I drove to the site and waited in the parking lot for a few minutes until it was 11:01PM (you know, just to be safe). At this point, I make my way to the drive-thru and place my order (it is now 11:02PM), only to be told that they are not serving breakfast at this time. Just to to make sure that I was not mistaken, I implored as to what time they begin serving the breakfast menu. "11PM". Now, at this point I took some offense (well, not really) because I make a point to make sure that my car time is accurate. Not wanting to be irritating, I had the self restraint to not ask what time it was according to the store machines, so I only ordered the Buffalo Ranch Burger. As I wait in the line to pick up my food I think to myself, "perhaps their machines are unsynched." Well, I get to the window to pay for my food and I peak at one of the store monitors to see what time it was. 23:08 (and some seconds value). The time in my car? 11:08PM. So my prior theory was disproven. Is this whole thing petty of me? Perhaps. Was I mildly disappointed? Yes. Now, all this to say, I really love Whataburger and am just highlighting my most recent experience. As a whole, staff is always nice and service is typically very...
Read moreWhataburger is usually alright, but there is a first time for everything. I ordered my food at the drive-thru (#13 combo and a biscuit), and from the get go whoever attended me seemed confused about the chicken strips but I mean a combo is a combo is a combo... right? And the total was mentioned to be around $10 , which is fine. I pull up to get my food, and pay but the drive-thru personnel doesn't give me a receipt nor does he retell me my total, which would have clued me in to the order being wrong. I honestly should have checked my bag because it felt too light, and later I realized the order I placed and what I paid were different, for some reason. To clarify, I paid for the food I received (around $5, I had to check my online banking) but I did not receive the order I asked for. How is a combo just the chicken strips? The only reason I received the drink was because I asked for the flavor, like... I know we are all human, but where is the training? Maybe I need to yell out my order next time, I'm not sure. The drive-thru attendant didn't even restate the order like they usually do, which is where I might have realized things went frustratingly wrong. Two stars because although I realize things might have just gone wrong this time, I cannot be sure it isn't the personnel at this location, since I do not usually eat at this...
