I am so tired of being let down by this store. They do not keep their inventory properly stocked. Once they run out of a product, you can expect them to forget they ever had it stocked in the first place. From Onion Rings to Lipton's Peach Tea, and now, Hormel Bacon and Chinette Plates...this particular Sam's cannot seem to get their inventory straight. It is a suffrage to Restaurant owners, everywhere. One star...plus, their cashiers care nothing about your produce and seem to enjoy abusing it!! And when loading the carts, they are careless, so when you leave, it rolls right off the downhill slope in the parking lot.
So I still shop here every Tuesday for my restaurant, because I am a very small business and this is really my only choice, without having to spend more in gas to go further. It has been nearly 2 months now that they have not carried the Clear cooking oil I have always used. They have also been out of sliced pickles for just about as long, as well as several other items I count on them to carry. Until I was driving through Victoria, TX on the way back from a trip, I figured this must be a problem all Sam's have. Well I was wrong. The Victoria Sam's had plenty of all the items I needed in stock.
So as I first assumed, this is a management issue and can be chalked off as sheer laziness on the part of those in charge of restocking. I wish I knew who to contact about this, because I am probably facing traveling all the way to Temple for the items I need. Sam's boast that they are there for small businesses, but the College Station Sam's is and has been failing at this for over a year now. ...
Read moreI am a big fan of Costco, but it does not make sense for me to drive 1+ hours, so I got a membership here through Groupon. The deal on Groupon was good:
$45 for a New One-Year Sam’s Club Membership Package with $20 eGift Card ($129.92
This membership package includes:
One-year Sam’s Club membership ($45 value) $20 eGift card online or in-club $25 eGiftCard after first purchase of $25+ online Free Take and Bake Pizza: pepperoni/cheese/sausage/deluxe ($6.98–$8.98 value)* Free rotisserie chicken ($4.98 value)* Free 18-count Chocolate Chunk cookies ($5.98 value)* Free fruit tray ($19.98 value)*
I redeemed cookies. I saw others on my app as instant savings with expiration of about 2 months, so I thought I would redeem them later. Well, after 1.5 months or so, I was thinking to use the rest, but I could not redeem anything. The membership support people there told me that those things expire in 30 days after becoming a member. I told the person that I do not see 30 days explanation anywhere online. She had no interest talking to me, and told me to just talk to Groupon or Corporate. Well, this is nothing to do with Groupon honestly... and Corporate is more useless than the store that they cannot do anything. I mean Corporate should have power over local managers, right?
Compare to Costco, things are just not as good quality, and stores are dirty. Why did I even decide to be a member instead of driving 1+ hours every week. It is MORE than dissapointed. I am going to stop my membership after 2 months of...
Read moreUsually don't shop this location, so first time experience at this location. It Was Terrible. We needed assistance at the jewelry counter, no way to alert staff-you have to go search the store for a clerk who then alerts another clerk there's a customer there, so you wait. And wait. Went to Customer Service when we were trying to check out with the Sam's app, app had started to check us out then got stuck in a loop of 'waiting to process payment'- anyway, once again, nobody there at the Customer Service counter, (LOL and eye roll) ; clerk on a walkie talkie semi-yelled over to us somebody would be over there soon to help us. She eventually walked over herself but continued conducting business on the walkie and also w/another clerk who came over to talk w/her. If we hadn't already started the check out process on the app we would have WALKED OUT. After finally getting no help from the CS, we decided to check out through the line and figured if the app charged us as well we would call the main Sam's number to get it straightened out. But wait, the rudeness wasn't over yet. The lady in the check-out line came across as irritated and had an "I don't want to be here" attitude. We couldn't get out fast enough after all this. At a certain point you start thinking, "Am I being punked"? , because how can one store have so many terrible experiences in one building? Awful experience, and they weren't that busy...
