College Station has so many hotels- do yourself a favor and stay at one of those! The final straw for me was as we were checking out the lady at the front desk was telling this sweet elderly gentleman that he could only have 1 bottle of Sam’s Club water per room. The hotel had its water fountains shut off and wasn’t serving any water in their bagged breakfast so give the man some water- it’s May in Texas! This hotel used anything and everything as an excuse to be cheap. It’s now 15 months into Covid and they are still doing bagged breakfasts with no drinks except cold coffee while all their water fountains were shut off and covered. Somehow every other hotel has figured out how to do normal breakfasts at this point and can offer their guests water. This place only allowed 1 bottle of water per ROOM not per guest. It was Sam’s Club water- how much does that cost?maybe a dollar per water. Sam’s Club is walkable distance from the hotel- go get some more and stop being stingy with water! Oh and they gave my husband a hard time for asking for a towel. We put 3 adults on our reservation and there were only 2 towels in the room which is fine, but you don’t need to be interrogated just to receive another stiff towel- no one is stealing those trust me. And the pool was closed. I asked why and they said because the winter storms messed up the pool pH. I asked for clarification because the big winter storm happened in February and the front reception lady said yes the one in February. You can’t re- balance the pH of the pool within 3 months?!! I get it, the storms were rough on us all, but Texas will rebuild! TEXAS STRONG! lol Pay the money to fix your pool! Stop being stingy with water! And treat the guests with some...

Air conditioning cooled but did not maintain the temperature it was set to. ||||2nd room (10/4-10/6), faucet in bathroom was stuck so that water would only come out of the shower head, drain stopper would not stay in the open position. Another frozen over dorm fridge that did not cool sufficiently to be safe to use for anything other than drinks. Another air conditioner that did not maintain the set temperature. ||||For both weekends the juice machine was out of order, and of the 5 breakfasts they only provided something to drink with breakfast on 2 of them. There was also no hot water provided for the oatmeal/tea packets on a couple of days. ||||The first weekend averaged to $90/night, the second was $245/night (apparently the Aggies had a home game so we got to pay nearly triple even with everything that wasn’t working) ||||One of the other guests who came for the game started tailgating in the hotel parking lot Saturday morning and left a bunch of empty cans in the parking lot when he and his friends left (apparently littering in the Aggie way now). ||We informed the staff member working the front desk about the cans dumped in the parking lot in front of the hotel. When we went back out for dinner two hours later, the dozen or so cans were still where the tailgater’s left them. ||||Overall unimpressed, especially given the price. Wouldn’t have stayed again except that it was close to the apartment that I’m cleaning...
Read moreShort distances from anything in College Station does not translate to drive time as well. If you are looking for somewhere closer to Texas A&M, there are other options that have better drive times. Rooms are small, not well maintained, but mostly clean. So, no usb charging or anything technologically up to date. Wifi and directv is all you get if you're not one for swimming pools, and neither was great. We were placed in room 123 near the lobby. From the time that we arrived from an outing at 7:30/8:00pm to rest, there was crowd noise coming from a group in the seating area in the front of the hotel that included literal screaming until around 11:15pm. This and the hard beds made for the worst night ever. My companion was a child with sensory issues. All I can say is why? Just why didn't a member of staff assume any responsibility for the peace and enjoyment the rest of the guests deserved? We literally woke in the morning, checked the breakfast offerings, and then decided that we didn't want anything but to leave because we were exhausted. And why is finding someone at the front desk like playing a blind man's game of hide and seek? I'm not coming back to this...
