Carisilos — Restaurant in Collinsville

A waste of my time and my money. I ordered the grilled shrimp salad. It contained lettuce, 7 or 8 nice sized shrimp, cheese, a little tomato, sliced bell pepper, and what looked to be an entire onion. There was no seasoning whatsoever on the shrimp or salad. I would have added some hot sauce or salsa, but there was no hot sauce on table and my companions had consumed all the salsa that came with the complimentary chips. I never had the opportunity to request any sauce because the waitress never returned to the table. Never at any time. In fact, I finally flagged down someone else's waitress for a to-go container because the salad had sat out so long that I was concerned it would become inedible. This request finally resulted in our own waitress bringing a box and the check. We had to pay inside and, somewhat predictably, we had to wait for this same woman to mosey over and check us out. Thus was only my second in-person (not carryout) experience in 14 months and I was shocked at how little this business cared about customer service in light of how few customers they had. I cannot recommend...

Go here all the time love it...today I had the kids so I thought I would call in..i won't go here anymore because of the way things went on phone...the girl that answered could not get more than two words out at a time so busy playing with the cook..the whole time she was trying to take my order he is slapping her ass I assume was the noise I could hear because she was giggling and telling him to stop the whole time...so much she asked a few times what I said and would go back to playing around it was enough that I'm done with this place...if I wasn't asked to repeat myself over and over and cut off every time by her giggles and the sound of him trying to play the drums on her ass..i may have still put in my order and still eat here...but as good as the food is..if that's the service they provide and don't see anything wrong with it I would imagine there is no effort put in to cleaning...must be someone new but regardless should never be a game like it's a joke that I called....never...

Loved it. Saw the $1.99 house margs (rocks or frozen) on Mondays and Thursdays was a real thing, decided to check it out, and was pleasantly surprised with the quality/quantity. Queso Fundido didn't disappoint, along with the Chimichanga Fajita 10 out of 10 would recommend. $30+ tip on pay day was money well spent and I will definitely be back. Oscar, not the grouch, was attentive and gave me space to enjoy at my own pace. Do not let the exterior deter you from the interior atmosphere, great decor for the size and minimal TV's. Only disappointment was I've lived nearby for 2.5 years and never been in the strip. ... Update: I've been back 3 times over the 6 weeks after my first visit. I tried a different entree every time and have never been disappointed with the food or atmosphere. Unfortunately I have had the same inattentive server since, which did put a small damper on trying to enjoy the margs. So I'll be asking for Oscar or someone new next time for sure, because bet your bippy...
