I ordered from Carini’s twice in the past month. I try my best to support local businesses, rather than chain establishments so I hoped that they would live up to the many positive reviews that I had read online. My first venture included two entries; chicken parmesan and manicotti. The chicken parmesan was made with chicken nuggets that were found drowning in globs of red goop and slopped in a circular aluminum container that was half filled with over cooked pasta. The manicotti was similarly suffocating, as it too was submerged in red “sauce” at the bottom of an aluminum container. I will not waste the energy writing about the side salads and/or bread, feel free to use your imagination.
Both were worse that your imagination.
In picking up the order, everyone inside the restaurant was pleasant. Unfortunately, great staff does not justify purchasing terrible food.
Against my better judgement, after seeing everyone in the restaurant pick up or ordering pizza, I figured that perhaps since Carini’s had received such rave reviews for their “New York Style” pizza I should give them another try. As I draft this review while experiencing explosive diarrhea and stomach pains, I assure you that this was a terrible idea. We had our order delivered. It took longer than anticipated. The one pizza was topped with canned tomatoes, diced onions, and canned spinach. I will not bother to tell you about the other pizza, rather, I will reiterate that the one pizza was topped with CANNED SPINACH. Yes, rather than fresh spinach leaves on a fresh New York Style pizza, our pie was topped with wilted and abused canned spinach. Absolutely repugnant that any self-respecting restaurant would serve such an atrocity.
You can use fresh ingredients, for a much better price, in less time at your house. Save yourself the trouble and either cook at home or order from...
Read moreLove it! My wife and I picked up our food just an hour ago and i couldn't be more pleased! This was our first visit and after looking at a couple of Italian places near by, this was the only one that had great reviews on the food AND the staff! I went on the website and everything was easy to read and they had so much on the menu. I was shocked how affordable the food was too! My wife called and she said the man on the phone was extremely nice and helped her out a lot when she told him it was our first time, he said it would be about 15 min. When we walked in the smell was so amazing I couldn't wait to get home. The man my wife talked to greeted us and was just as nice in person. We ordered two drink and he labeled the drinks for us which sounds so small but its the little things that show they care. We got home and I was amazed on how much spaghetti was there! The meatballs were amazing and the bread that came with it was still warm! My wife ate my salad and said the ranch was great and the salad was super crunchy! She got the mini pepperoni pizza and loved it. The crust was amazing, nothing burnt at all. So many pepperonis and super filling! Overall i couldn't be more satisfied! It can be scary going to a new place but i was glad we ended up picking Carini's! We will be...
Read moreWe've been dining here for years. Something has obviously changed recently. My wife ordered Fettucine Alfredo with Chicken. She has ordered this many time. This time the alfredo sauce was thin like water and terrible. After waiting about 10 minutes for the waitress to come back, I finally went up to the counter and asked if they could locate our waitress. We sent the dish back and ordered the Baked Spaghetti. When this arrived the meat sauce was also thin, watery and inedible. We asked for the manager who looked at it and shook his head, clearly indicating his agreement that something was wrong with it. He took it back to the kitchen and out comes the cook. He claimed there was nothing wrong with it. Finally my wife said she would just make a tuna fish sandwich at home. I will admit, I got the Chicken Parm and it was fine. I'm not sure what is going on here, but we won't be going back...
