My husband and I came here for a late lunch, around 1:30 recently. It's a very nice Mexican restaurant, nice decor, clean, and a pleasant ambiance. Chips seemed fresh, the salsa was okay. The waitress was also very pleasant and attentive to our needs, but then it wasn't busy at all. A couple things I was disappointed about: 1- There were no prices of any sort on the menu. No idea what each item cost. There's a lunch menu and a regular menu. What's the difference in cost? Probably nothing. Maybe to just lead us to believe there was. Also, there are no pictures of any of the menu items. Most times that is what sells me, not particularly the words on the menu. I like to see what it is I'm ordering. 2- I ordered a taco salad with chicken. For an extra fee they offered grilled chicken, but I opted for shredded. When it arrived, it looked ok; Not great, just okay. When I tasted it, I wasn't impressed. For some reason the chicken did not taste fresh to me. It tasted like perhaps it may have been processed chicken or something you would purchase a big bag of from Costco, and shred it yourself. No seasonings or sauces/salsas came with it. My husband ordered from the lunch menu, also included chicken. He completely agreed with me regarding the lack of freshness or taste. For these reasons we have no desire...
Read moreReally not sure how this place has 4 stars. My husband and I were not expecting authentic or even half way close… but this was the worst “mexican” food ever. Only thing that was good was the margaritas… but how do you mess those up. Let’s start by this place being so white washed it was pathetic. I asked if they had a chihuahua cheese for the kids quesadilla.. they only had yellow cheddar cheese… at a “Mexican” restaurant.. My husband ordered the carne asada, the waiter asked if medium rare was okay when he ordered… first of all no carne asada is ever cooked medium rare.. that piece of meat was flavorless, way too thick for carne asada and all fat. I ordered the chicken fajitas. Barely any fajita vegetables, unseasoned and they were burnt. There was a lot of chicken but it was so bland and DRY. The guacamole was the cheapest pre made they could order from Sysco I’m sure. Basically the whole meal was a wash. My dog had an $87 dinner. We still paid, & I tipped as it wasn’t the waiters fault. $103 for a horrible dinner. I don’t like to cause a fuss since I work in the restaurant business.. but this place is only “great” for all of the older rich people in the area with no taste buds. Or the housewives who get drunk on the margaritas and can’t...
Read moreI really hate to leave a bad review because my husband and I really love this place.. however, in the last 6 months or so this place has gone down hill, the food is no longer delicious and fresh. We came to eat here last night, I ordered the Chicken Fajita Burrito, I knew it didn't taste the way it used, it was greasy and didn't taste very good. My husband got the God Father Chimi, he liked his food but the main reason for this review is because I got violently sick with food poisoning last night and knew it was from this once loved restaurant. Please be aware of what your eating. I just don't want anyone else to experience the sickness I felt from last night from poor quality food.. Also, as a mom of 2 and usually on a budget, it would be nice for them to put the prices back on their menus, I understand the cost of inflation is driving the price up of food at restaurant, but to completely take off all prices? Even the margarita menu. This is not a fine dining, the price per food or drink items NEEDS to be transparent to consumers. 2 burritos, 2 margaritas and 1 appitizer will set you back $100 at this place with a possible side of food poisoning. So, so, so disappointed. We will...
