The Hotel Bar is a beautiful speakeasy style bar. They have bottled and draft beer, cocktails, martinis, cigars, and a fair assortment of food. We have been visiting here for several years, and in the beginning, every visit was great. However, over the past year, things seem to be declining in the service area. Usually, if anything is not right with your order, they will go above and beyond to rectify the situation. We recently went two separate times where once the server spilled one of our drinks over us and our son and did not offer to comp or discount anything. He did however bring extra napkins for us to clean up the spilled Martini on our son. On the second occasion I ordered a Martini that was prepared wrong. When I brought it up to the manager she blamed me for the liquor I chose. With an attitude, she said she would remake it and upon returning with the same attitude, said it was the liquor I chose, and she changed it. I know different bartenders make things differently, but for the price you pay at the Broadmoor, you expect a certain level of quality...
Read moreMy Husband and I visited the Broadmoor. for the first time last week to dine and enjoy a holiday experience. The Hotel and Christmas lights were beautiful upon arrival. The staff were very welcoming at the valet, concierge and host at “The Bar”. Our never smiled which began to make us feel uncomfortable. Surprisingly, a second server was also aloof and appeared almost annoyed that we asked a question. We chose not to let the attitudes ruin our experience.
As we were leaving we thanked the host Ryan for his hospitality and asked him about the parking/validation policy. Our server approached, interrupted the Host and curtly answered the question. As my husband and I walked towards the outdoor area, the server continued to raise her voice and sarcastically wished us a happy holiday. I was stunned and saddened by her actions.
The Broadmoor is prestigious by reputation and well visited by world travelers; however, this local was very disappointed in the service and the soggy cheeseburger bun my Husband...

Stopped in to escape a rainy Saturday afternoon. The hotel grounds are stunning and the bar's outdoor seating views are fantastic. We ordered the meat and cheese board, which was about 50% fruit and 50% meat and cheese. The honey was a standout on the dish particularly as someone who doesn't typically like honey.
For drinks, they were sold out of a champagne we tried to order so we switched gears to cocktails. I had the Colorado sunset which was a tasty beachy rum drink. We also tried the lemon drop which was fine, and tried to get a French 75 which was a bit of a situation. The first one came out tasting like straight lemon juice, so we sent it back and got a second one that was much better done, but I don't think they have the right gin selection for a great one or the right bartender for balancing it well.
Staff seemed frazzled but friendly! Garage...
