We made reservations at 630 for our Anniversary dinner. We arrive there only too be told that “other” people have “walked”’in a they couldn’t sit us for an hour!! So what’s the point of reservations! So we sat in the bar area only too watch other people being seated in the dining room area! A party of 4 was right behind us a was seated right away!!! Then we notice that other tables in the “bar” area is being brought a bread basket an we have too ask for it!!!!! We order two grilled chicken Caesar salads with dressing on the side only too be served the wrong way!! Poor attention by the server! So we said we wanted no more drinks or dessert an we sit for 15 mins where we have too go ask for our tab!! Then a manager comes over and says he removed the appetizer and a drink as there was an issue with us having to ask for our food, Meaning the bread basket. I then proceeded to tell him about everything else that happened this evening and the fact that we were trying to celebrate our anniversary. He takes our credit card and then comes back with our credit card handed to us and says he took care of everything we received no receipt we signed nothing. We of course, were appreciative BUT We find out later on the evening we are still !!! How can we be charged for something when we signed? Absolutely nothing for the bill!!! This whole experience was so negative. I could not consciously ever recommend this location, which is so bad because all the other restaurants that we went to here at the Broadmoor were...
Read moreI normally love going to the grill to watch the Bronco games but today everything just seemed to not work there. We had a server who just really didn't care if we were there or not, after ordering the dishes left on the table set there till three different times we had to ask to have them picked up. A next door diner had dropped their napkin on the floor and numerous servers walked over at at the last count it was five times to one of them picked it up. Unfortunately this just was not a good day there and the service was at best very minimal. After speaking with the manager she did assurance that is not the norm for the grill and of course we agreed. The two young women working the front desk turned down numerous guests saying that it was closed but that was not the truth the truth was they were in between kitchen shifts they still offered drinks so they lost numerous clients from that. There's an older wonderful lady that works there that absolutely was a rockstar and tried to compensate for the inadequacy of the two young ladies at the front desk who seem to be only preoccupied with their cell phones. I won't give up on it it's a great...
Read moreI had the "Breast of Colorado Chicken Picatta $32 White Wine, Lemon, Caper Sauce, House Made Spaghetti". It sounds like a classic Chicken Picatta, but it isn't. Instead it is chicken breast with an uber-rich cream sauce. It was not to my liking. In fact, I thought it was a bit disgusting. If a restaurant is going to make a significant change to a classic recipe, they owe their diners a clear description of what they really are serving. Instead, the menu here misleads the diner. I'm coming to the conclusion that there's a lot of great food in the area away from the resort that's not only better, but also half the price. The Broadmoor needs to do better. Reducing to 1 star. My guest sent his pork shop back when it came overcooked and dried out. On the second try, it came back the same way. The wait and bus staff has had all summer to learn the jobs, but there has not been one iota of progress. Is anybody...
