I came early at 4:00 p.m. on a Thursday, this restaurant had only been open two weeks. Located on Austin bluffs & Vickers by trevilIies cheesesteaks. I was immediately greeted and the first thing I noticed about the restaurant is that it's open, airy, spacious and exceedingly clean. I had my choice of seating, from Booths along the wall to sturdy-chaired tables in the middle. I ordered the classic beef noodle soup with the hand-pulled noodles and it was delicious. Very clearly the beef had been cooked for long hours and was soft, added to a fresh broth with carrots and broccoli and topped with onion and cilantro. No artifice here, real ingredients, really toothsome noodles, all high quality!!! I ordered multiple appetizers, boa buns were beautiful and tightly sealed with a thicker dough, pork dumplings steamed --very classic and fresh from the kitchen, definitely not frozen. I thought the shrimp shumai after it cooled was quite lovely. If you let it cool the sweetness of the shrimp comes through. Everything was served with a sweeter soy and sesame oil dipping sauce. The service was so EXCEEDINGLY fast. I think I had hot soup within 5 or 6 minutes, and then freshly whisked out by the chef themselves as each appetizer was ready. I was so eager to try this place, and I am so delighted to be able to give an absolute five-star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ review. They are hiring and need front of house and back of house staff, and I really hope this wonderful gem...
Read moreMy husband, son, and I ate here Saturday, and everything was delicious! I had seen good reviews, but I was skeptical. I was so glad we went because everything was super flavorful. We had Chashu Bao, which is another bbq pork dumpling. It had plenty of meat, and even our BBQ hating son tried it and thought it was delicious. Xiao Long Bao was filled with meat and soup. They were tasty and fun to eat and came with a yummy dipping sauce. I wanted to try the cucumber salad. It was fresh and well seasoned with just the right hint of spiciness. My husband and I couldn't stop eating it. Our son got the chicken noodles soup with thin noodles. The chicken was moist, well seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The broth had a wonderful depth of flavor, and the noodles were cooked perfectly. With so much food, my husband and I wanted to split the beef noodle soup. I asked our server for an additional spoon, and she offered to bring us an additional bowl as well. The beef soup was amazing! Tender beef, aromatic broth, veggies, and thick noodles. It was so good that our son, who is partial to chicken, said he would get this one next time we visit. My son also got the egg rolls. He thought they were the best he had ever had, but I had a bite and thought they had a nice filling, but we're a bit too greasy for my taste. Overall, Kungfu Noodles Dumplings is now our favorite...
Read moreMy family and I stumbled upon this place after a fun day at the park. Did a quick Google search and saw that they had a 4.8 rating. We are SOOOOO happy we came here.
We were immediately greeted by a young lady with red hair and another gentleman with glasses. It wasn't busy around 4 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 8th, so we were seated quickly.
There were 8 people in my group, and our orders (a combination of appetizers and entrees) all came out hot, fresh "for the exception of the chicken in the chicken noodle soup and shrimp in the wonton soup", and accurate. We ordered a variety of everything.
The hot and sour is a little spicy, according to a 9-year-old who eats Takis and the noodle dish that is spicy but doesn't have a broth is very spicy, according to my husband - but everything was amazing! So good that we didn't get 1 picture. Lol! The noodle portions are large, but the cake is small for its price. That was literally the only gripe we had about the Mocha Mousse Cake. Instead, it should be listed as a petit four.
This is definitely a hidden gem and we will...
