I’ve played 90 escape rooms across the country so far. We stopped here to play Birds Aren’t Real. My group had so much fun. We loved the unique theme…certainly not one we had come across before. The room was well lit - a welcome change from the darkness we usually encounter in escape rooms. The flow of the game was nice where we continued to progress at a good pace. There was a good mix of technology and manual locks. Some of the puzzles were extra fun — ones we had encountered only once or twice before in other rooms. Every puzzle fit the theme; there were no puzzles for puzzles sake. The puzzles all made sense as well. It was challenging, but not frustrating. A great room for escape enthusiasts! I can’t wait to try the other rooms here.

I booked reservations for the Birds Aren't Real room for my husband's 50th birthday -- or at least I thought I did! It turns out, I'd forgotten to complete my reservation so when we showed up for our time slot, they were closed!! Major party foul on my end but oh my gosh -- Monica answered my call and was so sweet and accommodating! She arranged for Nadia to meet us and within the hour we were all inside the Birds Aren't Real room having a blast! The room is tricky but super fun, especially if you're into conspiracies. Nadia is wonderful and was friendly and fun despite having to show up for work last minute! Thanks to you both for not making my mistake be a major blunder and for the fun times!

My wife and I have done about ten or so escape rooms (physical, online, VR) and the "Birds Aren't Real" room was the most fun and creative room we have done so far. The owner and his son were super friendly. We'll definitely be back!

I had a great time at Escaped in Time with our young adult church group! We had nine people who did the "We're All Mad In Here" room. I've never done an escape room, so I can't say how it compares with other places, but I was really impressed at the complexity of some of the puzzle devices and I felt like it was a decent challenge to get out of the room. My group of nine ended up setting a new room record! We got out with 25 minutes to spare out of our hour. We had another group of nine and a group of eight who did the other two rooms and they were not so fortunate; one group just barely escaped the pirate room with only a few minutes left and the other group failed to escape the "Bump in the Night" room.

The staff monitors your progress with security cameras in the room, and they will give you hints if you ask for them, but be warned, because you cannot set a room record if you take the hints, and after three hints they will start giving you time penalties with each hint.

The other thing I really appreciated about this place was that all the rooms had a code printed on the lock that would let you out of the room in case of an emergency, as well as the key for the deadbolt hanging on the wall right next to the door, so you are never actually "trapped" in the escape room, and if you needed to evacuate for some reason, you have the power to let yourself out of the room.

Another thing they are concientious about is security of your things; they provide a locker for the whole group to leave their phones or other personal items in (phones are not allowed in the rooms). The locker is then secured with a padlock, and the only key to the padlock is given to a group member on a wristband, so you know that no one can get at your stuff while you are in the escape room, as you have the only key.

I highly recommend checking this place out if you are looking to try out an escape room for the first time like I was, or if you have a group anywhere from 10-30 people and you are looking for something to do...

SO well done! We did The Lost Soul room and it was great. There were 3 of us, one was new and the other two had some experience, and we got out with 1 min to spare! It was very clear this company greatly enjoys and takes pride in what they do. They were attentive throughout the game and each time we asked for a clue they stayed in character adding even more to the experience. There were a lot of great details in the room and the clues were all well done. The room decor was great. You really felt you were in the place they said you were in, with quiet background music of the ocean and distant pirate themed music that you only barely notice, but adds to the ambiance. The puzzles were totally solvable but all of them made you have to work to figure it out. The clues were just what we needed when we got stuck, and even though we used three clues, we still felt we accomplished a lot! I will stay with Escaped In Time until I've done all their rooms because I am confident that our experience will be great simply because the owners are so invested in making it a great time. They said that they travel around doing escape rooms often and use their knowledge to put together the best experience for their customers, and that truly showed here. If you book with these guys, you won't be disappointed!! I highly recommend The...

My friends and paid a visit to Escaped in Time during a daylong survey of Colorado Springs escape rooms. We tried The Lost Soul, a pirate themed adventure in which we began in the brig of an 18th century frigate. We had 60 minutes to free ourselves and find a treasure on another part of the ship. The set was simple but evocative of the lower decks of a period sailing ship. Tech was minimized to aid the immersion. Puzzles were varied with classic challenges of translation, observation, spatial analysis, and following instructions. The adventure also included some innovative ways of interacting with the space. One of the challenges had us questioning if we were overstepping the bounds of brute force, but once we course corrected it was smooth sailing. Escaped in Time is family owned and operated, and I enjoyed visiting with the owners about their business philosophy. They design rooms that players of all ages and backgrounds can enjoy, and want to see everyone having fun and finding success in the worlds they create. I look forward to...
