Here's the short version: Samich Shack is far and away the best sandwich you can get in the Springs. Arguably, the best sandwich you can get anywhere. No choice is the wrong choice when ordering from this place.

Here's a longer more in depth version: Quite possibly one of the easiest five stars you could give a place, there's no better lunch spot than Samich Shack when you're in the mood for a sandwich. Andrew clearly loves what he does, and his passion for the art shines through in every order. He is friendly, prompt, honest and efficient.

After several visits, due to the location's small size, it is very easy to establish a relationship as a loyal customer, and you are well rewarded for your efforts in doing so. Samich Shack offers a rewards program where you get a punch card for each sandwich bought, and your 11th is free. It adds up far quicker than you might imagine, as I am sure that after just one visit, you'll be craving another visit in no time at all.

Each sandwich is made to order (like all sandwiches everywhere should be to begin with), and is made with the freshest ingredients, with so much love and care put into it that even the cucumbers are sliced on the spot.

Almost 90% of the time, I order the Manitou. While that is a vegetarian option with no meat, something about it hits different. Its almost always what I crave. I've tried five different sandwiches so far, and all of them were uniquely fantastic in their own way. There is a sandwich for everyone here, and each one has the recipe/ingredients down to a science. Sure, you can add or remove items from existing sandwiches, but they exist how they are for a reason. It just works.

This little place might be easy to miss driving by, but if you do find the time to make your way down to Samich Shack, it'll be one of the best lunch choices...

The meatball sandwich was really good! The service, not so much... I pulled up, the window opened, and I got, "Sammich shack, what would you like?" I told the guy behind the window that I had never been there, so I didn't know. He just sat there and said nothing. No take your time, let me tell you a little bit about us and what we have, nothing. Uncomfortable silence that caused me to choose quick. "Chips and a drink?" is all I was asked, after I said no thank you, he charged me by pushing a credit terminal towards me which he held tight, no words mind you as I tried to pull this closer to me to see what I was doing. Then he disappeared for a few min, opened the window, handed me a to-go container and a napkin, and closed the window. No thank you, have a nice day, enjoy, or anything. I'm sorry if you're having a bad day, but customer service is more than that. Not sure I'll go back, even though the sandwich was...

I tried this spot one time and is was solid, good food chill vibe. I went today and I asked for 2 Gossage sandwiches. One I asked for Chicken and the other turkey added. My friend bought the Pueblo. Overheard one of them sayā€what’s up homieā€ to my friend… (he is mexican ) seemed a little disrespectful They didn’t put no chicken on the sandwiches, they gave us all turkey, cut the pickle in half… Then while making the sandwiches I watched them run out to their car to grab something while wears gloves touching our food. One slice of turkey on each sandwich, it was so thin I could’ve went to subway and spent half. I’m usually cool if something isn’t right but this ain’t it. I tried to call the number on google and nothing. That’s why I’m writing the review. I will NOT be coming back. I would like a response from the owner this was unacceptable service… AND I...

Just look at the pic of that sandwich. It's a beast! I did kick for triple meat but they made it happen and I got a full sized NY Deli sandwich in Colorado Springs. I will give extra points to any sandwich spot that gives me pickle spears on the side rather than low grade pickle chips on the sandwich. I also liked their house sandwich sauce. All in all, great food and service. I'll totally go back when I'm in town. I at teh second half of my sandwich for dinner while waiting to board my plane at the airport and I was getting jealous glances from the people who were sitting around me. The prices were on-par with similar offerings.

āļøāļøāļøāļøāļø Absolutely hit the spot after the gym! I stopped by the Samich Shack after a workout, and The Incline sandwich was everything I needed and more. Perfectly seasoned beef, juicy and packed with flavor, it felt like a reward for crushing the gym. The bread was fresh, the toppings balanced, and the portion was generous without being over the top. Staff was super friendly, and the vibe was laid-back but clean. Easily one of the best post-workout meals I’ve had in Colorado Springs. I’ll definitely be back.

The guy who was in the shop today didn’t even try to put some effort into the job. He was on the phone when I was ordering, paid little attention. I waited quite some time to get my sandwich and sure thing he missed everything I asked for and some more- he didn’t even put any sauce on the sandwich. Zero flavor, little meat, dry bread, had onions and tomatoes that I kindly asked to be removed. I love this place but today’s visit wasn’t worth $17…
