DoorDash and Uber Eats drivers BEWARE of this place. Extremely long wait times are frequent. Their drink machines "are down" every once in a while and out of stock items are becoming more commonplace. Don't risk trying to take an order from here and saying there are multiple items out of stock (no matter how true, how you try to prove it, or even if you let the customer know) you will still eventually be deactivated. I've been contacted by customers for order inaccuracy due to this place quite a few times, albeit I've taken hundreds of orders from here. They say scrupulous drivers have been stealing orders and because of that they treat every other driver like scourge, but that's also a symptom of orders being inaccurate. Customers call doordash support and say an item was missing, support is useless overseas call center that just pushes the order through again as if it needs to be entirely re-made. Seen it happen before but also yes, people can be awful and thieves. I have been picking orders up from here for going on 2 years now. I've seen the entire working staff be replaced, probably 3 times. I am one of the longest standing people that has worked/contracted out of this place and even I get scrutinized and clapped back to. I always greet them with a good morning, say thank you, and have NEVER complained about wait time or their mistakes, I don't even look at them while waiting. I alert them respectfully of the name I am there for (they usually ask) then I sit and play a word game on my phone. Short, immature, dark haired girl, with a visor at the register needs to not smart off to people that are genuinely trying to help YOUR business. I'd be embarrassed to have her as an employee.
I stopped ordering food for myself from this place about 10 months ago when they made me wait 28 minutes, tracked, for an all-nighter sandwich. Good luck with this mess. I will be boycotting this location until the staff gets replaced again, most likely at the end of the summer.
The food platforms, the customers, and especially the restaurants all blame the drivers for everything. Even honest, hard working drivers with heated bags, chill bags, drink carriers, a clean car, safe, knows the roads really well, that is also a good communicator doesn't matter these places see you as garbage. No, thank you. Einstein Bagels and many other restaurants are quite lucky the platforms don't let drivers rank/rate or blacklist restaurants because places like this will eventually have zero drivers coming by unless it's catering. I created this and many other accounts to begin having some accountability for the restaurants, since it doesn't seem like the owners/operators know what is actually happening with these DoorDash and Uber services they pay thousands of dollars, or 30% of platform sales every year, just to be part of the system. It should be the restaurant and driver VS these platforms, but instead you and I are at odds while the platforms gouge us...
Read moreEDIT: Just after posting my review, I looked at some other reviews of this location, and customers have consistently had the same issues I did. These reviews date back over a year ago, but despite replies from the location management nothing has changed! Don’t spend your valuable time and money at an establishment where the management willfully ignores quality issues, and is content w/ negative customer experiences. If I could give less than 1 star I would for this mediocre excuse for “food service.”
It’s time for me to break up w/ Einstein’s. I don’t know if it’s just this location or the chain overall, but the quality has really gone downhill. On the app, Einstein’s reminds customers that supply chain issues might impact ingredient availability, but I’ve not noticed the same issues at other chains at this point in time. Besides, some of the issues predate the pandemic- the bagels are consistently underbaked. They are pale to look at and gummy to eat- I always finish baking (not toasting) them at home. Just an extra 5 minutes in the oven finishes the job I paid Einstein’s to do.
This morning I ordered a few bagels which were literally cold on the inside, as well as the lox bagel which comes w/ cream cheese, capers, tomatoes, red onions, and lox. The tomatoes were green in the middle and crunchy- not ripe at all. And I received precisely 2 small pieces of lox- each were exactly as big as the underripe tomato slices, and didn’t even cover half of the bagel slices. I moved them both to one half of the bagel, which was an appropriate portion, but now I’m left w/ half of a bagel w/o half of the ingredients it was supposed to come with. This for $10.
Honestly, it will be less trouble, cheaper, and tastier to make the bagels myself, which is what I’m going to learn to do.
TL:DR Inferior quality is not...
Read moreMy family has gone to Einstein Bagels on a regular basis over the years. I've ordered the same breakfast sandwich everytime. I always sub the smear and they never up charged because the sandwich I order already has smear. Apparently today the guy wanted to charge me for adding smear instead of subbing it. That added $1.50 to 2 sandwiches. Not a ton of money but it irked me when he proceeded to tell me that some smears cost more which was a cop out. He explained, I don't set the prices. Wow! Not sure if he just didn't want to re-ring it in as a sub or what. I told him forget it, I'll pass on the sub. Not a big deal but as a consistent customer who knows that all smears are same price and ordered the same thing so many times without hassle the excuse wasn't cool. The guy on the line was awesome though, so I'll up it from 2 star to 3 stars since he overheard and came up to me to offer the sub as I originally ordered. Not sure if he was just off, because that same guy has been great in the past, but today was sad. Hopefully, next time we'll be back to normal. I know it's just a sandwich, but I figured while I wait, I might as well let other people know, to watch for the upcharge when choosing a different smear. That's my fun for the day. Have a great day, and thanks Einstein Bagels, I think your breakfast sandwiches...
