What a great place to get fresh, made to order, crepes!

A friend and I recently visited Ground Up Coffee to try their crepes and drinks. Walking up to the shop, we noticed 2 tables with some chairs underneath 2 oversized umbrellas. While deciding what types of crepes we should try, the savory ground up favorite caught my attention while my friend decided to go with the sweet strawberry & cream. We also got a drink to go with our crepes. Mine was the tradition Thai iced tea; a latte was what my friend chose.

While we were waiting for our orders, I noticed the person behind the counter started to make my crepe. First, she poured the flour mixture to make the outer layer, a thinly base to start. As it started to cook, an egg was added and spreads over the mixture. Once that is cooked, she started to add a red sauce, then grounded sausage, bacon, potatoes, and then the cheese. The entire process took about 5 minutes.

In the meantime, as she was waiting for the savory crepe to complete, she was preparing the strawberry & cream crepe. The outer shell of the crepe was already made, she cut and added the sweet strawberries, the whipped cream, and the strawberry sauce was drizzled on top of the delectable dessert.

We decided to split our crepes so that we can savored the moment, and boy, both crepes were delicious in their own way. Having the saltiness from the ground up favorite, and then sweet strawberry & cream right afterwards was a heavenly eating experience.

My Thai iced tea was very good. Not overly sweet, and it hit the spot after eating the crepes.

If you are in the area and looking for a uniquely eating experience, I would stop by Ground Up Coffee Cafe for both...

This better than that star place!! There's more or a home feeling and atmosphere here 😊!! Awesome service great people coming by awesome selections and the music 🎶 is absolutely magical you need to come by get your true coffee vibe on 💯🙏🏿💫❤️🙌🏾✌🏾🔥!! Sooooo almost a year ago I found this quaint little warm and fuzzy place and met the owner 🤗! Who is a very charming, lovable, friendly, beautiful person 💯 🙏🏾 and she gave me a free cup of coffee of which today I finally redeemed! But there was a bonus she told me about her new staff member who was the spice and spirit of her shop and she was absolutely correct 🎯!! Julie is her name and she is just a ball of fire 🔥 💯, funny, witty, sharp and cute 😊 you must come by and meet her and get your coffee ☕ or tea 🍵 on! She adds the magic to your morning or mid-afternoon whatever your choosing you won't regret it or forget it hope to see you there 😊 💯...

Sadly realized this is not a family friendly place. I thought it was a great place, great location and awesome coffee. However, I went in there with my grandkids, bought my coffee and a drink for them. They were playing with the table decorations but not breaking them. We took some fun pictures of them doing this, I felt it was not out of line what they were doing. I got a phone call, and was distracted for no more than two minutes. The lady (assuming owner) walked over, grabbed the table decorations from the boys and put them away. I had every intention to do this myself. I hung up, shocked by her actions, cleaned up our space and we left. I will NEVER return to this shop. This was my third visit, I was very excited to have a coffee shop so close to home, but will not be treated like my kids are unwelcome. Starbucks is down the street and my money spends just...

The pictures always look better than what you are served, that's to be expected. But the honey toast showed up looking EXACTLY like the photo, down to the mint embellishments and tasted amazing. It had a lovely creme brulee crunch to the exterior of the toast without being too much. The cappuccino was.spot-on and the hot Thai tea latte was perfect. Will be returning even though I am not visiting long!

Five star for this small coffee shop ☕️ Latte was beautifully done and tasty. Hot chocolate was chocolatey and less sweet ❤️ We also had ham & cheese crepe and Honey toast. Everything was well presented and delicious 😋 Outdoor seating was on the sidewalk in the strip mall next to Safeway. We found it less crowded and nice to enjoy the coffee in the morning with the view of the mountains.
