Hunan Dynasty Restaurant — Restaurant in Sheridan

It's kind of your average Chinese restaurant. The staff is not overly friendly but not overly rude. The food is what you expect. I have friends that really enjoy this place so I have found myself going there & eating from the restaurant the lot. I have never sat down inside and eaten however, the take out seemed like what you would expect. Inside did seem nice and it seem like everybody there enjoyed the atmosphere. It's kind of are standard Chinese restaurant. You get what you see don't expect anything to amazingly wonderful but don't expect to be disappointed either. Any Chinese restaurant would be okay for me it's just my friends tend to like this one so I end up eating from here often. if there was one closer to me I'd probably try that one or if somebody wanted to go somewhere else I'm not sure I would argue with that either overall I'd say try it if it's nearby to you or if you're close by and you feel like decent Chinese food. I don't think you can really go wrong with too many Chinese restaurants that are more then just I $1 scoop restaurant. And this is definitely better than just Dollar scoop Chinese restaurant / Chinese fast...

As a former restaurant owner of an Italian restaurant, and a former certified chef of 14 years; this is one of the best Chinese restaurants I've ever found, and now,, frequent... and this is from someone who eats out twice per day at random restaurants. I know enough to actually create a food travel magazine, including and not limited to, international travel with 22 cruises under my belt. (That's numerous excursions to the local restaurants at each destination). That being said, I know good food and I know great food, and Hunan is one of the greats. I travel over 35 miles once per week to pick up 4 separate orders for other like-minded individuals who know I'm headed that direction. I also know, as a former restaurant owner, how a bad review can become a bad bone that haunts a restaurant based on incomplete information. Issue: was missing one of my entrees after picking up my order. Was basically called a liar on the phone.

I get home and make the call to the restaurant. I asked if it would be possible to either make the food and I get it, or the item be refunded. He proceeds to get the manager, Cindy, on the phone. She then says “you originally placed the order and hour ago.” (What does that have to do with a mess up on their end?) I then say “that’s correct, you quoted me 30 minutes for pickup. I then stopped by the store on my way home, it’s been an hour”. She then says “the person who bagged your food said he put it in there”. Now I’m being called a liar by Cindy, the manager.

I went and picked up the missing item and explained how unfair it was to insinuate I was lying about an item missing. Clearly the bagger wouldn’t remember EVERY SINGLE item he placed in every to go order today. Very unpleased and offended. Their general Tso...
