We ate here three times during our stay at the holiday inn. It was a serious mixed bag. I’d say my chief complaint is that the staff here is on autopilot for the most part and not really paying attention. They managed to botch something at each meal. One morning I stood at the host stand to be seated for more than 10min when there were only 2-3 tables occupied in the whole place. Between the two servers they seemed overwhelmed or blind to the growing line behind me despite the dearth of occupied tables. I don’t know if this is because they have a steady guaranteed stream of patrons from the hotel but gosh, the sloppy forgetful service really stood out. Even more so because all the dishes are overpriced by $5-10. And whereas the breakfast staff seemed still asleep, our evening server wouldn’t leave us alone when we asked for more time and kept trying to upsell us on the wine and failed to let us know that as hotel guests we could claim a 10% discount. Overall we somehow felt like everything was a bit off in terms of the service. That said, the food is good albeit not, imo, worth the premium prices. But that’s really on us - steamboat restaurant prices are high across the board. I would not recommend this restaurant if you have time to find a better dinner/breakfast place in town. If you do eat here, the veggie omelette is great and the huevos rancheros is tasty as well. We also recommend the miso glazed salmon and...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place. We live a one minute drive away, we eat out a lot, I generally like the casual style of food on the menu, the patio could be great if executed well, and there aren’t many dining options on the south end of town. So I REALLY wanted to like this place. But unfortunately now I don’t. Our experience started with the hostess being unable to find a table for us on the patio - not because it was busy, but because more than half of the tables were not occupied but still covered with dishes from prior guests. We had to separate a large table ourselves, move an umbrella, and then sat ourselves. We promptly ordered - a salad with chicken added and a cup of green chili for me, and a salad for my wife. After a long wait, our salads finally arrived, mine without the chicken. The server apologized that the chili didn’t come out and went to investigate. We ate our salads. Probably 20 minutes went by until the server came back and asked if the chili had come, which it hadn’t. We asked for the check, which of course had the chicken on it. They did take it off and we paid the bill and left. The food (that I got) was okay…nothing to go back for. NONE of the tables on the patio had been bussed in the 45 minutes that we were there. Sadly, we...
Read moreDon't bother wasting your time or money at this place . I try to give someone the benefit of the doubt when they mess up an order but when they mess up 5/5 of my orders and refuse to answer the phone 99% of the time regardless the time of day and blatantly ignore allergy requests then you lose all future business . If you call -in an order you can sit at the bar and listen to the phone ring and watch the staff ignore the call and then when you ask them about it later why they didnt answer the phone they lie to your face and say the phone isnt working , even though you can hear it in the background ringing , this happens literally everytime you call , they just ignore the calls and then lie about why they couldnt anwer...LOL !! Even the front desk at the Holiday Inn knows not to call the restaurant because they know they wont answer the phone ... If you do place an order and remind them of any allergys , they simply ignore the requests and ruin the meal and everyones time involved . Do not eat here , the food is a who knows / 10 becausee I have yet to actually recieve an order that was completed correctly ... the only reason I continued to put up with this BS is because I live nearby and its very close and convenient ....
