We booked this property because the reviews were decent, it had a kitchen, and was across from the tennis center where we were taking a camp. The booking was for a studio and it turned out to be in "Building 1" which is the only building on the property which does not have AC. It was a very hot August, and the studio only had one window -- so no cross breeze -- and the window absolutely soaked in all of the sun during the hottest part of the day. So when we checked in it was like an oven. (Yes I should have been more careful about booking -- there was no AC amenity listed -- but honestly I didn't expect to need an AC in the Colorado mountains, and wouldn't have needed it in most properties). There was a Vornado fan in the unit, but efforts to get a box fan to put in the window resulted in 2 nonworking fans before we could secure a working one. It was very stressful and we hardly slept the first night due to the heat. We mostly solved the heat problem ourselves by buy buying a $5 windshield reflector from Walmart and putting in the window behind the shade to block the sun in the afternoon. ||Once I tried to beat the heat by working upstairs from reception, where there are computers etc, but it's also a game room and unsupervised children were pretty much throwing pool balls across the table. ||Also be aware that there are different ways for different guests (time share vs. regular bookings? Not sure.) to get on wifi -- the one we were supposed to use was paid and quite expensive. ||The bed was a Murphy bed -- which is fine but the mattress is exceedingly soft. The unit still had sufficient room to move around with the bed down. ||Our other big complaint is the front desk staff. They ranged from very helpful to hanging up on us. At one point when pointing out out how hot it was and that they still hadn't managed to get us a working box fan, and we said that we were going to leave a bad review and were told to "go ahead." We were also told frankly that the "owners" were holding out on installing ACs in this building, which was the oldest in the complex. Our impression is that this is time share that is partly managed by Wyndham, but where the owners still have the control. My opinion has gone down of Wyndham for agreeing to manage such a property and I will be wary of them in the future. ||Positives: The maintenance people who brought the fans were prompt and seemed to be really trying. The kitchen was well supplied, and no complaints about the bathroom or cleanliness.||Conclusions: If you must book this property be careful and ensure you know what you are getting . Avoid Building 1 -- I think you'd have to call and find out which building you are booking for- -and be ready for minimal front desk support if...

Read moreI waited until after the week here to write my review because I was so angry when we checked in that it wouldn’t have been fair. The location of the condo is beautiful! The city and area offer many things to do and see. You need a car to see the sights and get to town. However, Walmart etc. are close. ||We traded our week in the Mexican Riviera for Steamboat Springs as we didn’t want to leave the US during Covid19. We arrived at 4:30 PM and the condo wasn’t ready. The attendant said it would be another 30 minutes and they would call our cell phone. After more than an hour of waiting, we went back to the office and it was ready, but they had forgotten to call us. The staff used all of the precautions during check-in, the condo was clean (couldn’t tell if it was sanitized), masks were required as well as social distancing. We have been here before two years ago and were put into Building 1 which is NOT air-conditioned. When we checked in we found out that only Wyndham members could get air-conditioning. We offered to pay extra to get AC and they said it couldn’t be done. So here we are with noisy fans in Building I again. It cools off enough at night that with windows open you can at least sleep with cool air and noisy fans, and the area is remote enough that it is quiet outside.||The condo is, as I said, clean and well stocked but in terrible condition. The beds were comfy, and the water was hot with great pressure. Everything needs to be updated and repaired! The furniture was clean but old. The Formica in the kitchen was tapped on, as was the doorknob on the front door. Speaking of the front door, our keys worked the first time but the next day when we came back to the condo they didn’t work. My husband had to make three trips to the office before we got in. Then later that day the keys wouldn’t work again and they sent a very nice young man that had to change the batteries. The knobs were missing on the kitchen cabinet which made it difficult to get stuff from under the sink, so we switched knobs from a high cabinet. Then; we discovered why the knobs weren’t there. You couldn’t open the oven door when the knobs were there. The drawer below the oven, where the pans were, fell out when I opened it and thank the Lord I was quick enough to get my toes out of the way or they would have been hurt badly with the heavy drawer full of pots and pans. Now I’m going to be nit-picky. The blinds on the upper windows were caked with dust which was very visible from the upper floor. A long-handled duster would have knocked off the majority of that and given guests a better feeling of cleanliness.||I don’t think we will give this place a 3rd chance or ever go to a Wyndham...
