Thanks for your response. We're well aware of the hours now... in the future, we'll go to a business that uses common sense when handling a situation like ours. If there hadn't been 10 ppl inside the shop, lights on, and the ability to easily serve us, we wouldn't be upset. It wasn't like she was in the parking lot driving away and we were expecting her to come reopen the shop. We were paying cash, no change needed, nice tip, etc.
She could have very easily said sure/yes. (and quite honestly, it was the attitude she had when she said it..she wasn't even nice about it at all.) Even had she said no nicely it would have made the situation much better.
We are adults. A smile and a lil respect go a long way.
Little things like this are why small businesses sometimes fail. It's the difference between creating a good/regular customer (relationship) who brings their family, has an office party, has birthday parties, brings their sports teams, etc, etc, and them not doing that.
And quite honesty, your response didn't help either. No compassion? No, "we're really sorry...", or anything that shows you understood our situation. We drove 20 minutes out of our way to come to your business.
Anyway, good luck, and "bless your heart" for your response. 😊

Read moreInconsistent service and serving sizes. Today was terrible for both.
We have been here 3 times in the last week. When the person I believe is the owner is here, the service is friendly and the servings fit with other stores and the prices. Today was a different person running the store and serving sizes were noticeably smaller - to the point of feeling ripped off. On top of the small serving sizes, both waffle cones were noticeably stale. When I commented on the size, he responded in a flat, unfriendly voice, “That’s what a single scoop is.” No customer service, no apologies that it seemed small, or offer to provide some feedback to the owner - nothing. I followed up that it looked like a kids scoop and not nearly what I was being charged for. At this point the mood turned even more tense, he added a tablespoon of ice cream and rang us up. Every question or comment was met with the antithesis of customer service and I was concerned about it breaking out into a full on confrontation so I paid and left. My wife went back in to ask for a spoon for our daughter and herself so she could dig the remaining ice cream out of the stale cone. She commented that they were stale and that she couldn’t even eat it. His response was, “Oh really? Huh.”, with a shrug to...
Read moreMy wife and I visited this ice cream shop for the first time yesterday. The shop was fairly convenient off of Rt. 285 E in Conifer (though it was a pain getting 285 to go onto a small road, under the road bridge, onto another road, and then on to another road to get to the strip mall where the ice cream shop was), it was located on the first floor of the two-story strip mall, the outside of the shop was decorated fairly well, we were not welcomed upon entering, the employee was not friendly at all and didn't smile and didn't ask us how she could help us, our ice cream choices were delicious but exorbitantly expensive ($16.78 for a cup with two scoops of ice cream, and a cone with two scoops), the dining room have adequate seating and was clean, the restroom was clean, and no music...
