This is a restaurant without the bells and whistles. You come here to eat and you get good food. But don't expect too much from the ambience or decor. We've pretty much checked out all other sushi/roll places in the area, so I figured that we should try this. They have several sushi, sashimi and roll options. They also have lunch and dinner combos. We got the Monkey Brains as an appetizer and the Santa Fe and the Spicy Pueblo rolls. Everything was very good. Money brains had breaded avocado. The Santa Fe roll was mild and mainly the cream cheese, tempura and cucumber flavors. The spicy pueblo had a little kick here and there which was nice. I also ordered the warm sake, which was ok...I've had better elsewhere. Good restaurant to come for a meal but not really for a special occasion. The server is very nice. She was the only one on the afternoon shift when we went.

Had a craving for sushi and Hubs and I hopped on over. It was quiet, service was fast and great! The miso soup was one of the best we have had. The broth had a depth to it that delicious. The sushi was also really good! The flavors popped, and the spice was spot on. Hubs tried the spicy ramen, and we shared a few rolls. We will definitely return to try other options!

Well, it was good when we were here 10 years ago and they are still good. No big frills as the restaurant goes, but the food and service were excellent. Lived in HI for a couple of years, so we have a pretty high bar on sushi, and MoMos is excellent "mainland" sushi. A little pricey, but that's sushi, always pricey. And I sold wife's wasabi before I took pictures.

Worst experience... I would not have even given this place a star. Our experience: No one to sit you down. We waited for 15 minutes before a waitress came to take our drink order. Waited 10 minutes for our drinks. Waitress said she was going to bring us straws; waited and waited until we finally got out of our chair and went and asked for the straws and silverware. Waited and waited for our order to be taken. Waitress brought sugar tea, asked for tea without sugar. Waited for another straw. Waitress got the order wrong. The waitress dropped a bowl on the kitchen floor and we could see that she did not put the bowl where there were dirty dishes. She put rice in the bowl that she dropped on the floor and served it to our table. Became argumentative when we told her what we saw. We requested a new bowl of rice. NO and I said NO refills on tea. We asked for a glass of water, that was never brought to the table. Waitress never came back to the table to see if we wanted anything else, the other waitress gave us our ticket. From where we sat, you could see the kitchen. Place had a trash can filled past the top with trash in the kitchen where customers food is being prepared. We were never thanked by anyone in this place. One of the worst experiences... we will...

I have been to this restaurant several times. The sushi is decent for the price, but this last time I placed an order over the phone. When my husband brought it home, the California roll was missing the masago (which I special ordered and paid extra for). I also requested no wasabi and no ginger and for ALL my sushi be put into one box (this is to cut down on waste and tossing unused food into the trash as I do not eat wasabi or ginger). I called the restaurant immediately after opening my order. I was told the manager was busy and would call me back. After 30 minutes, I called back, as the manager had not returned my call. When they answered the phone I was told he was unavailable because they were busy and he was making sushi, and he would call me back when he had a free minute (but she had no idea how long it would be). I asked who the owner was and was told the manager was the owner and was busy making sushi. What a poor excuse for customer service! What poor and unprofessional management skills! I would not recommend this place to anyone wishing to have sushi (I am not impressed with their non sushi dishes as far as flavor, texture and quality) at a decent price, because if you have ANY issues, their standard operating procedure is to ignore...

We decided we wanted to try something new, and we chose Momo's West for this culinary adventure! And an adventure it was! We arrived for a late lunch on a Friday and were surprised to have the restaurant to ourselves. I guess that should have been our first clue.... The food, unfortunately, was predictably awful. The rolls were loosely constructed (so hard to eat) and my salmon SKIN roll was largely made of cooked salmon...I honestly didn't even know what to say. It's like the sushi chef was mad about it. We also asked for an off-menu handroll and were told they only had spicy krab...hmm! So we ordered one, and low-and-behold, it was terrible. Literally spicy krab and rice wrapped in seaweed...not an artfully placed carrot or daikon in sight! So much for creative expression, I guess. There was one highlight to our visit and I want to give a special shout-out to Chloe for providing great service! She was pleasant, quick and attentive. It is not her fault that the sushi sucked or that the chef was surly. She did her part admirably. Atmosphere was dark and dusty, and certainly nothing to come back for...pretty much like the food and the chef! We will be going back to Miyake, where the sushi is...
