ThunderZone West — Restaurant in Colorado

This used to be one of our go-to spots, but ever since the change in ownership, it’s clear that mismanagement has become an issue. During our last visit, we placed our order and, unfortunately, the server came back five different times to inform us they were out of the drinks or wing sauces we ordered. Each time, we adjusted without any fuss, and the waitress was polite and apologetic. We finally settled on available options, so it wasn’t a big deal.

However, when our wings arrived, two out of the four orders came without any sauce. When we brought this to another waitress’s attention, she initially insisted there was sauce on them, though it was obvious there wasn’t. After some back and forth, she finally brought the missing sauce.

Later, when our original waitress checked in, I casually asked, “What’s going on tonight?” She explained that a delivery truck hadn’t arrived, which made sense. I let her know about the issue with the wings, and she kindly offered to see if she could get us a small discount for the inconvenience. I appreciated her effort and thanked her for her understanding.

What happened next was truly disappointing. A female “manager” approached our table in an aggressive manner and said, “What exactly do you think was wrong tonight? I’m not giving you a discount on wings you’re eating.” I calmly explained the issues we’d encountered and mentioned that we hadn’t even asked for a discount—it was the server’s suggestion. Instead of de-escalating the situation, she continued to be confrontational. At that point, I informed her we wouldn’t be returning, despite being regulars.

Sadly, as we finished our meal, the manager kept giving us dirty looks, making the whole experience even more uncomfortable. It’s unfortunate to see such a decline in what was once a great local spot, all due to...

I liked this place for a quick lunch until Wednesday. I ordered a Chef Salad and the total came to $15.58. Picked up my order at the drive thru using my Debit card. When checking my charges (something I do daily) I was charged an additional $5.00. I called to ask why and spoke to someone who said a manager or owner were not on location. I was assured I was going to get al call back. Which I did not. I called again this morning and was told by a young lady that she spoke to the owner and was told the charge did not come from them. that sometimes the credit card companies tack on additional 20% tips. Well I explained that this was a debit card and that has never happened in the 20 yrs plus that I have had this account or debit card. And not to mention this was not a 20% charge... more like a 32% charge. I do math. I still have not heard from the owner or a manager to clear this up. This is out right theft. and I don't even get a call back. You would think that the owners would care about a business reputation. Well if and when I get some kind of resolution I will update my review. Makes me sad people...

We went in today for my daughter‘s birthday because that’s where she wanted to eat. We were seated immediately place was pretty empty. We ordered our drinks. I had ordered a mixed drink as well as a water. The drinks came out right away but the water no. Even after the food came out I needed a water but the waitress that was behind the bar as well as taken the orders was to busy talking to people that apparently she knew at the bar. So was the other waitress that was at the door as soon as you walk in was also in the group chat. We ordered the boom boom shrimp which was basically frozen shrimp that were deep-fried and tossed in the spicy sauce. Burgers are small. I also ordered the green chili mac & cheese very disappointing supposedly had grilled chicken which you can barely spot little pieces that were more like microwavable chicken. $15 for macaroni was expensive for me. I also wanted a salad that was an additional six dollars. I was better off going to Olive Garden. Never again that’s for sure...
