Delicious pizza I've haven't had anything else but it all looks good. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The prices are fair and the quality is great I don't know they may not be thrilled when I say you can even order a pizza right before they close. And still friendly no problem they don't huff on the phone for when you go in there. I'll give you the look that bicyclist give you the look when you're in the path and you're not getting out of there way fast enough.I wish I knew the names of the people that worked in there but both times has been as young male with dark hair and a female dark hair also can super Philly and even offer if you need napkins red hot pepper or Parmesan cheese and give you a fair amount for again without moving their eyes. Order a pizza to be delivered by some companies that we know who they are. Ask to have hot pepper and parmesan and most of the time they don't even have any in their car.I need the app for on the phone you're not guaranteed to get it. I mean fast food restaurants like McDonald's Wendy's all them they want you to ask for specific amount of ketchup if you don't ask and you get three hamburgers and three large fries well they won't even offer lucky if you get it a napkin McDonald's is pretty good with least getting some napkins just cuz you order food at take out they have to know you don't always go home. They also have to know that just because it's assumed you can go home and haveketchup they should assume that people could also go home and eat hamburger. I eat my hamburger plain. No vegetables ketchup or mustard no discount on my Burger suggested offset the person who takes a lot and the person who doesn't take much. I want to know everybody how great grinders is because these places to save money don't take into account the opposite of people who don't get everything put on their food. It's like going to any store in the state buying a product and nothing everything that goes with that product. I know I'm going on a tangent but I asked and I'm not the smartest guy in the world what percentage of people eat ketchup with their French fries. Or ranch or mayonnaise or something else.this is why I pies and grinders is so great because they care. You don't have to throw ketchup wastefully in a bag.only buy products and there's accessories with them no matter what it is it should be offered. Do they realize how many people drive away and realize no napkins or the condiments. It just gets a little damn I forgot to ask. Has some of this world forgotten about customer service and the feelings of other people. Do they not care about their customers overall satisfaction. I believe they don't care that is why we must support places that do. When you go into McDonald's they have ketchup that you can put is cheaper for them I just think they probably made about a ninety-five cents on my Dollar coke. I know this sounds trivial the customer service is what sets pies and grinders apart from other places 14 bucks for a medium pepperoni Pizza of high-quality ingredients I do know that because I picked up the owner's son as an Uber driverand he told me how much is that he was tired of business and how his father only gets the highest quality ingredients. With a large amount of cheese on whole pizza$12 for a large double quarter pounder with french friesno ketchup and a drink for a dollar and you have to be careful because McDonald's will give you the medium drink even though all dreams are dollar they won't offer you the largeyou'll get to meet him because saying will you like the large or the medium drink with your meal and would you like some ketchup or anything else with this. Because the manager of McDonald's actually said to me I'm not in the business of ketchup it's not my responsibility to offer you condiments . He explained to me and asked for the specific number so if you go to McDonald's ask for 10 ketchups a cup of barbecue sauces extra napkins everything even for one french fry and if they want to charge you head down two pies and grinders. A small business...
Read moreI have ordered pizza from Pies and Grinders every Friday night for the last several months. That should tell you something about their pizza, and the usual service I’ve received. I also always tip at least 20%. That should tell you something about me. Last Friday was an exception in the food quality. We order delivery because going and picking it up is hard on us. We are old. I work from home on Fridays, which is why I order in pizza. So last Friday, the pizza arrived and it was hardly edible. It was way undercooked. We each had a piece and threw the rest out. As a faithful customer I called today to do our regular order. Mark, my order taker, was considerate and helpful. 5 stars for him. After ordering, I thought I would brief him on our previous week’s experience. Again , I was met with courtesy. I was hoping to get a little credit on this week’s pizza, but that was not my goal. Mark had me hold on for the manager, Steve. Steve, got on the phone and I introduced myself. I reviewed our customer history, told him about last weeks experience using the same words I used here, said I thought this was the exception, not the rule,. He very abruptly said in what I perceived as a threatening voice, “Why didn’t you call about this last week?’ Mind you, I hadn’t asked anything of him. I have been a licensed counselor for over 40 years. I can recognize a defensive, or in this case, a offensive statement. I asked, “is this the tact you are going to take with a a consistent customer?” He said, “yes!’ Before I was a therapist, I was in the restaurant business. In our first day of training, they said , ” the customer is always right and 1 complaint is heard by 400 people.” I said to Steve, “so this is how you want to treat a loyal and faithful customer?” He said and I quote, “We have hundreds of customers. Losing one won’t matter.’ I said okay and hung up and called another pizza place. I want to be clear. I did not call feeling entitled to a free pizza. My major desire was to give the manager information. But I didn’t expect to have someone be confrontational. I actually hoped I would have heard something like Mark’s statement, “I am very sorry sir! Let me get you in touch with a manager.” So what do I hope from this bad review? Well I hope Steve’s boss sits him down and tells him that this is not how you treat a customer, and gives him training in customer service. There are lots of people who would be doing a lot more than writing...
Read moreThis used to be our go-to pizza spot in Monument. Pizza was always great with friendly staff. Linda sure changed that for us.
My wife had our girls at dance with the plan that I would order the pizza for her to pick up on her way home. I called and spoke to Tim (who was very polite) to place our carryout order. I gave my phone number and he asked if I wanted to order the same thing as last time. He said "large pizza with Canadian bacon". I stated that it should have pepperoni as well. He corrected himself and confirmed that it should have both of those items and said it would be ready in 50 minutes.
My wife picks up the pizza and calls me from the parking lot asking what I ordered. She then tells me it was only a cheese pizza. I tell her that's incorrect and to go back inside to get it corrected. When she let's Linda know, Linda says "well you can buy another pizza." My wife calls me to tell me this and I decide to call the store myself.
I call and Linda answers the phone. I ask to speak with Tim to which she responds "Uh, no he's working." I explain that my wife just picked up a pizza that isn't correct and that we would like the correct order. She says that only a cheese pizza was ordered. I then explain that I was the one who ordered it and go over the conversation I had with Tim. She then says "are you calling Tim a liar?" I told her I'm not calling anyone anything. I'm saying that he repeated the order back to me correctly. What he actually submitted, I do not know. After being put on hold a couple times, she came back saying that a new pizza was being made.
Growing up in my younger years in the service industry, customer service has always been as important, if not more so than, the product being delivered. I can say that I don't see us supporting this local business anymore after our dealings with the...
