This will be my 3rd review of anything online, ever. This review warrants it. I was at Safeway when I noticed a sign for Vietnamese food, and I LOVE Vietnamese egg rolls, so I was super excited. I LOOOOVE Vietnames egg rolls so much, I even learned how to authentically make them. It's time consuming to roll them, so I get them at various establishments when the craving hits. I LOVE them, I know them. I finished shopping and went to get egg rolls for take out,, for dinner This place was one of the biggest restaurant disappointments for me, seems like ever. I was genuinely bummed. I paid $10, for an order of 'Vietnamese egg rolls', and when I got home (6 mins away), I opened a small Styrofoam container of...4 index finger sized egg rolls, a cornered chunk of iceberg lettuce like a wedge salad would be, it was on top of a pile of carrot shreds and a cold clumped up ball of rice noodles. The fish sauce was the only thing appetizing, because it's basic. The 'egg rolls' were awful and tasted and looked exactly like the kind in the frozen section at the dollar tree across the street. I implore you to check for yourself. There was no cucumber, Thai basil, leafy green lettuce leaves, cilantro, lime wedges...all the traditional components of TRUE Vietnamese egg rolls. The egg rolls were really unappetizing, awful actually, unless you're stoned out of your mind or have no palate. There was nothing authentic about them. Not even mediocre. Just....gross. Then to boot, the atmosphere was uninviting. The decor seemed nice, but the place was empty. It was 6:30pm, they close at 8pm. The hostess was indifferent, seeming to just rush around even though there were no people. A couple came in, she was just not personable or friendly, not even a smile, she kept looking at the big screen TV while taking their order. She pretty much threw menus at them because she was in such a strange hurry. Anyway, calling this Vietnamese food is like calling Taco Bell Mexican food. It ain't. I'd want a refund from here, but no one gives refunds, just courtesy gift cards. But I don't intend to eat here again....
Read moreWe take our tourist to this place. They’re governor’s and deputy governor’s. Don’t know why there’re rude, disrespectful and their racially actions are very questionable despite how we thought all Pho’s restaurants that we’ve been is very warm welcomed. We ordered Pho with soup which normally it should be like that. Instead it came with no soup. We tried to tell them that we want the soup then, the person in the kitchen came out and told us “ You need to eat first. If, you don’t like it, then we’ll provide.” Surely we don’t like it. So he came out saying “Sa wad dee cub” then tried to imitate us. It’s hello in Thai and then he said “ Are you thai? Is this called TOM YUM SOUP?” Now, that’s when we realized that this is not a friendly restaurant with rude and hard to understand people who work here. We are curious so we ask him what’s this. He replied “ Here soup, you are Thai’s right?” At that point we just don’t want to waste our time. The worst part of all is after we pay the food with cash because they don’t want to pay for the transaction fee’s from the foreign card. We want a receipt to check for transparency after all those incidents. The cashier said “ Since you pay cash you won’t be getting a receipt.” Which this is ABSURD. Never I have been to a restaurant and they wouldn’t give out a receipt. The server, the cashier, the cooks can’t even communicate properly and still they want to make this restaurant go way down hill. I want to know if the manager or the owner intentionally let this pass by or what because there’re bad bad comments too. If you didn’t know what’s going on with your business right now,...
Read moreI have been going to this place for a while and today is probably one of the most atrocious experiences, I probably ever had here. I don’t know who the guy was that was working in the front but clearly has mental issues and should not be working anywhere near a restaurant, if at all, he was very argumentative. Talked to me as if I was born yesterday and belittled me at any chance he got, he couldn’t leave me alone. I always had a good experience when the owner and the girls are there but the second time which was today I had to deal with this guy. It was a complete disaster. I honestly don’t know how this place is still in business, for what they charged for me, they barely gave me anything very small portions. I was not happy at all but I had to eat. When I went to leave, I told him my opinion, and he waited till my back was turned and gave me a PSSSH! Sound as to indicate my opinion does not matter, and the customer is always wrong in this restaurant. I think I will never go there ever again. They just lost my business completely. This is the only Vietnamese restaurant besides Pho TJ in Brighton, I’ve had issues with employees. If I was the rest of you, I would not frequent this place anymore. It’s sad in this day and age that there are still restaurants that have employees that act like this. I am a Chef and worked in the restaurant industry for a very long time . This place was one of the disasters I have come across in my my life lifetime. I never go as far as writing a scathing review like this, but this is goes to show don’t piss your...
