Was waiting in a super long line at another coffee joint (think big, successful, Seattle), and saw across the street that there was ONE car in Serrano's line. Due to time constraints, i decided to jump out of the big line, and go to Serranos.
I place my order and pull up behind the one car. We sat for about 4 minutes, then a ghost arm gives the car ahead of me their drink, and i pull forward. Now i say "Ghost arm" because there's nobody there when i pull up.
Across the street, i can see the truck that was behind me placing their order at the speaker box. Then they pull forward. Then another car. Then another car. Then another car. Then another car. A Serranos employee appears at the window telling me my total, and asking if i'd like to add a tip to the bill. (Before i have gotten anything).
I tip a dollar... and the ghost fades away. Another car. Another car. ANOTHER CAR. Ghost returns with my order. It took Serranos the same amount of time to give me an Americano as it took for "Seattle's Best" to service 8+ cars.
Serranos used to be great. Now they are garbage, and they have BEEN garbage since we all got to stay home for a year or two. I have written a message or two to the owners just to give an encouraging nudge, but was ironically... ghosted.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreI visited this coffee shop in Monument, CO (just off of I-25) today for the first time. The coffee shop was conveniently located off of Route 105 (across from Safeway), had plenty of parking, was tastefully decorated on the outside of the building, as well as the dining room, etc., was not greeted upon entering, the full beverage & food menu was clearly and prominently, one barista was friendly, one not so much, they had light-medium-dark roast coffee options available (my light/Guatemala was excellent), the prices were reasonable, the coffee cake was delish, the dining room was spacious, there was plenty of different kinds of seating (including comfy couches!...though two of the comfy chairs are old and hideously tapes with white tape!!), no music was playing, there was free WiFi (but was quite weak and kept cutting out, so I had to toggle off my iPhone to have a solid connection), and the men's restroom was quite dirty, looked like it hadn't been properly cleaned in a while and there were several gang tags written on the sides of the big trash can that very visible (very unnerving to see in such a nice coffee shop in a nice, affluent community...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreMy girlfriend and I stopped here on the way to Colorado Springs. The business was absolutely adorable as you walk in. It gives small town comfort vibes. There were couches and chairs and tables throughout the right side, allowing options for maximum comfort. The items on display for purchase were fun and appeared to be of high quality. We ordered the espresso chocolate covered beans, some chai tea concentrate, specialty coffees and a breakfast burrito to share. The Caramel Thing was divine, and I don't drink fancy flavored coffee regularly. They were so sweet about filling our personal coffee cup and even gave a disount. We waited just a few minutes on one if the couches and they brought out our food, cut and on two plates for us. That was so thoughtful! We loved the pup friendly atmosphere, the customer service, and our coffee and food. Will definitely be stopping here again the next time we are...
