We have been regulars at Randy's when they originally came from Orchard Mesa, now we go to the Clifton one, only been to the North Ave one a couple times. We LOVE the food not a bad item on the menu and the service. I can take a group of 13 or just myself and feel accomidated and welcomed. There isnt staff turn over and the staff seem happy to be at their job and get to know their customers well. I'm not a chatter but I see them making relationships with people and see many return customers, elderly, homosexual, straight, families, singles, bikers, and every race. My only complaint is that it isnt open in the evenings haha selfish, I know, but sometimes when we roll into town after fishing I would love to stop and have a large portioned yummy home meal in my belly :) I would like to see it updated and the decor more put together. But honestly if it keeps the prices affordable, portions huge, food good and happy staff, I dont care if it's a little rough around the edges, its clean that is...
Read moreWe used to love this restaurant. It was our go to for good food at fair prices. Service was slow but we enjoyed enjoyed our visits. And then things changed. Prices started rising and portions started shrinking. We noticed increasing prices with every visit. On out last visit, in addition to higher prices, the service declined. My husband asked for a water and the response was "I'm going to be busy over there," motioning across the restaurant. "Ask another waitress." Yikes. I've never heard that from a server before. He then asked our waitress for a water. She started actively avoiding our table, turning away to not pass by our table. Our coffees waited for refills and the water was not brought to our table. After 10 mins of empty coffee cups, we left. We could overlook the rising prices, although they are beginning to get extreme, $17.50 for Chicken Fried Steak - up $5 in a year. We can't overlook poor service and...
Read moreNew review, very poor food- what happened?? (no pics) Late breakfast, simple orders of 2-egg omelet for him and 'small bfast' 1-pancake for me. He ordered w/out cheese and they put melted fake-cheese on top. My overeasy egg was almost solid, the plain pancake tough; bacon burnt and hard. They replaced the bacon. The piece of cherry pie to go was AWFUL- smelled and tasted like the grill-grease. I don't plan to return.
Our 1st visit: Not what I expected. Clean, cheerful little local cafe with 50-ish decor was no waiting to be seated, greeted and offered beverages. We had simple egg dishes and other than the huge amount of cheese they were above standard diner-fare, with very good and not greasy home fries. The wait to get our food seemed a bit long for simple no-frills breakfast. We’ll be back- and ask for LIGHT...
