It was one of the worst experiences that made my family and I feel unwelcome. Pleased and looking forward to trying this place out due to the review. Walked in here around 1:30 P.m. As my family and I walked in I noticed an open seat not attended or reserved one of the waitresses was adamantly persistent in having us seated in the place that was more beneficial for her, Straight out of the bat she wanted us to sit by a window where the sun was beaming very strongly. I made her aware that that seat would not work due to my sight sensitivity, and I would like my family and me to sit on a specific seat; she spoke to me as to whether my family or I were kids, and we knew no better as If we just needed to deal with it.
She then mentioned that at the seat where she wanted us, she could pull down the window blinders for convenience, and another waitress told her at the spot that the blinders were damaged and could not be pulled down.
Instead of providing us with the seat we wanted, she told us that due to the damaged blinder, she pointed out another seat, speaking to my family and me like kids. Saying well, if not that one, this one will be due.
She told us that we couldn't sit in the seat we wanted because they had just finished cleaning it.
Her demeanor and how she approaches paying customers and is unwilling to accommodate them again. Paying customers for providing a high level of satisfaction was nothing more than close to trash.
Once she stated that you will sit here then. I responded with no thanks have a good one. Walking away with my family took my business elsewhere.
She ran behind us and I saw her. Expecting an apology or an effort on her end to make us feel welcome. She stood by the door, not saying anything and watching us leave.
Guys, if your excuse was not providing us with the table we wanted, even knowing it was available.
You might as well make it official and change your hours from 2 pm to 1 pm so that people can be aware that 30 min to one hour before closing, we are cleaning, and as a customer, you may not receive the best customer service from there on out.
For those who made it this far, reading this formal complaint on a review. I know that since Cov* hit, customer service has drastically turned for the worse. Many places have this attitude where just conform with what you get. Wrong, wrong, Wrong people and all paying customers make a stand in places like this and or similar to this. If they are not willing to provide high satisfaction to their paying customer, nothing extra. You are willing to take your business elsewhere and take it a step further in providing reasoning for a bad review so that other paying customers can be aware and continue to make a push on reviews. So that either management or the owner can be aware of this conduct and hopefully do something about it so that customers will not leave with a level of dissatisfaction.
Thanks to this undesirable experience, I searched for other Google great review brunch places still open and have taken my business to a place named Market and Cafe Garden of the Gods.
I asked my wife and kids if they wanted to sit anywhere specifically, and my smallest daughter screamed out of her lungs bench, bench. Before the waitress provided us with the seat, I made it aware of where we wanted to sit again. Just to compare one from the other customer service and with a welcome smile the waitress told us no problem please let us know if this seat will work out for you right out the bat it was perfect. Mr Kyler was an awesome waiter, and besides Black Bear dinners, now we have another that provides great customer service and amazing food.
Guys, if you are looking for great customer service and awesome food, look no further. FYI, dress casually to appropriate because eating at a place like this makes you feel...
Read moreThe food was great, but make sure you ask what your time limit is before you are seated. And by time limit, I mean the amount of time you will be ALLOWED to eat and remain sitting in this establishment. Myself and 2 friends had just finished eating when a waitress came to our table and rudely asked us to get up and leave so she could seat new people! Never in my life have I been treated so horribly. We made reservations for a booth and not only were we seated late, but we also didn't get a booth. This could have been overlooked, but then to literally be told to get up and get out, was over the top. We had not been there for hours, as I said, we just finished eating and were still finishing our coffee. I also did not notice them doing this to other patrons. They instead chose the table with 3 older ladies, one who has a hard time walking. Easy targets maybe? What kind of place treats seniors this way, let alone ANY customer? When I asked to speak to the manager, the waitress preceeded to rush past us to him to give her side first. As if there was a side. And the only thing the manager could say was that today was going to be the last day for this type of policy. Why would such a policy exist in the first place?! Well, that's great for future customers I suppose, but I will never return to this place and I will be sure to tell everyone I know about the way this establishment treats people. Especially seniors. They clearly do not care about their customers. I would expect this from a chain restaurant but not a family owned local business. You should be ashamed of yourselves. I hope the $ you earned from the people you seated behind us, was worth the future $ and business...
Read moreSandy's....WHAT HAPPENED? First and foremost, we have always loved dining at Sandy's. It is one of the reasons we went there yesterday for Father's Day. It began, however, waiting almost twice the amount of time for a seat than the waitlist had originally told us when we signed up. Okey dokey. No worries...it was Father's Day, so we understood. However...not a peep from anyone about the longer wait than expected. No apology...no acknowledgement. Ok. Still moving along. Our drink order was taken without much personality at all from the first person we spoke to...and about the same from the waiter. This is highly uncharacteristic given we are generally greeted with smiles, sometimes some fun sass from the wait staff...and usually a few laughs. None of that existed...the atmosphere and staff are different. And not in the good way. We proceed to order and then get our food. Two times they acknowledged my husband's request for milk with his breakfast and three times they forgot to bring it to him. Along with the pancake we ordered with our meal, as well. When we finally asked for the milk and pancake a third time the waiter just asked us if we still wanted it. No apology for the oversight...just "did we still want it?" Not once was my drink refilled and not once did the waiter check in on us...and the pancake...when we finally did get it, was cold. The service we received was far from the norm and it is out hope that it was an isolated incident. Whatever you were doing before, can we please go back to that and whatever you are doing now...can we stop entirely or improve on greatly? ...
