Read moreI was more than a little skeptical of this place in that it was batting a thousand with 84, 5 Star reviews. but we decided to give it a try anyhow. So, how do you operate a restaurant and have no working bathroom? They told my wife that the toilets in BOTH the men's & women's restroom didn't work. No plumber was there fixing whatever alleged problem they were having and...they told my wife that maybe she could go next door to the hair salon or one of the other nearby businesses and ask if she could use their bathroom. WHAT??? I wonder if the other businesses were good with that? Totally unacceptable. We made the decision to look for somewhere else to spend our money on Thai food
*Update: WOW! looks like I struck a nerve! Seriously doubt a "customer" responded to my post...just sayin'! They claimed that the "whole main strip valve was not working". Why did they tell me to go use another business bathroom in the same strip mall. We actually ate at another restaurant there and their bathroom worked fine! Plus, how do they know what time I was there? An hour later it was OK to use? I'm suspicious that there are only 5 Star reviews. Nobody is 5 Star...
Read moreI really tried to like this restaurant because my sister swore it was just like our mom's cooking, but I can't. The first time I was here I had chicken and veggies and it was fantastic. The second time I had pad that and it was wayyyyy too sweet. Three bites and I threw it in the trash. The third time I had green curry and it was terrible. Very bland, not even too much coconut. It was literally like coconut with cornstarch slurry and a hint of curry. My daughter had yellow curry and the same thing, bland and watered down. Also, the potatoes weren't cooked all the way. I grew up in a Thai household and can tell when corners are being cut and they're definitely cutting corners.
I will say this is almost the only place in town that will use the good coconut milk in their tea and coffee if there's a dairy restriction, so that's a good thing
Sometimes no matter how awesome the service is and how cool the ambience is, bad food prevails. Call me a Karen, but whatever. I'll...
