Perfection by the plateful. This was our first time at Smoking Fins. I selected it because of the eminence and varied menu. They have every thing from Sushi to Steak. We were there for Denver Restaurant week which offered a set (and very delicious) menu. for starters we selected the Lobster Tater Tots, House-made in house with cold water lobster, smoked gouda cheese, and green onions served with chipotleaioli and ranch and the Vegas Sushi Rolls, Surimi lobster-crab salad and habanero cream cheese, rolled futo style then tempura fried and topped with spicy tuna, wasabi soy sauce, Fins’ eel sauce and spicy aioli. The Tots were good but teh Vegas rolls were to die for. For our entrees we selected the Seared Scallop & Ahi which is Jumbo sea scallops and Yellowfin Tuna rubbed with ancho chili, coffee and cocoa, pan-seared and served over a bed of greens, basil, grape tomatoes, flash fried cauliflower and drizzled with chile oil and the Cedar Plank Sterling Salmon, House-cut Sterling Salmon smoked on an Idaho cedar and served with Yukon Gold loaded mashed potatoes, seasonal vegetables and a charred lemon. Both were spot on perfectly plated and extremely delicious to the taste. We started our visit at the front of the house and were shown to our table by Sophia, she is both professional and charming. Our server Jerry had a lot of knowledge about all things on the menu which allowed us to make the perfect picks. The Team is inspired by the Manager, Jason who also stops by your table to ensure you experience and meal are everything you wanted it to be. As this was our first experience we can't wait for our next time there as we were totally more than satisfied with the service food and beverage. Looking for a new place to try, go to SMOKIN FINS you will be glad you did.

My husband and I ordered food from Smokin Fins on January 1st, 2024. Unfortunately, my husband suffered from food poisoning for 24 hours after eating his burger. Despite this, we thought we'd give it another chance and ordered takeout on May 12th, 2024. However, we had yet another terrible experience with the food. The presentation and taste of the food were both unacceptable, and the photos on the menu were misleading. We ordered the chicken tacos, but they were covered in an excessive amount of brown guacamole and lacked the melted hardened cheese shown in the photos. The Noodle Bowl was even worse, as it was missing a significant portion of the ingredients listed on the menu, such as chili oil, carrots, spinach, edamame, ginger, and cilantro. Additionally, the shrimp was not pan-seared as depicted in the menu photo; instead, it looked steamed and lacked any flavor. It was a complete waste of our money, and we are extremely disappointed with the overall experience. We will not give Smokin Fins another try and strongly advise others to avoid it as well.

Smokin Fins is a quaint little seafood restaurant in Highlands Ranch. My wife and I were in the area and was craving crabs but unfortunately they were not available. So we decided to try out their shrimp scampi and Ahi Tuna. We started off with the Calamari which was pretty good. I had the Ahi Tuna and quite enjoyed it. My only thought on the dish was that they really soaked it in sauce. This made my hash brown sitting underneath soggy as well as my coleslaw. I wish they wouldn’t have drenched the dish, otherwise I think separately, it may have worked out better with the juxtaposition of tender tuna and crunchy hash brown. But, I’m not a culinary expert so I guess I can’t say definitively whether or not that is how it’s supposed to be done. It is, something I will ask for the chef to do next time just to see how it tastes. My wife loved her scampi and we were both happy with our meals overall. Shout out to Demitrius, our server, as he was accommodating and attentive.

SUSHI HAPPY HOUR. ENOUGH SAID. I love finding unusual happy hours like this! Unfortunately we went here for lunch so not happy hour and the food was beyond delicious!! I only wish I had a bigger stomach! We ordered all appetizers! Started with French mussels and Clams and OMG the sauce for this was so tasty!! I love that it came with bread for dunking in the sauce! Also ordered the Kickin Shrimp, Poke Tower, and the Pork Potstickers! Everything here was so so good. I can't wait to go here for sushi Happy Hour! Update 9/16/24 - went here for dinner with one of the kids and they loved it! Mike was our server and he had a lot of fun with the kid. I had tacos and it was tasty. Glad this place is still delicious!
