This place is gone downhill so much! I remember going there all the time when we first moved to this area in 2020 and 2021 and it was amazing! The food was great, excellent drinks and wonderful staff. To say it is not the same is a gross understatement. The last time we were there was so very disappointing. We decided to book a table for Valentine's Day this year and we're excited to have a Guinness and enjoy our first night away from our kids since having another child. We made reservations for 7:00. Arrived at 7:02. We were immediately sat in the back area by the fireplace next to a cute couple who seemed to be enjoying their time. There were four other tables seated back there and apparently only one server? I used to work in the service industry so I have quite a bit of understanding and latency especially if you get over sat and you're in the weeds and having a hard time keeping up with your tables. That being said, we sat there for 32 minutes before we finally decided to walk out. We sat for 32 minutes without a single tablet touch, no introduction, not even water for over 30 minutes! Maybe at the 20 minute Mark our server was dropping the bill at the table 8 in from us and said I'll be right with you before another 20 minutes past. He would make eye contact with us as he rushed by. Being that we had to pay a babysitter to watch our kids and we're on someone of a time limit meaning, we couldn't just sit at a restaurant for 30 minutes without even a drink was so annoying. As we're walking out the server sees us and says oh I can come take care of you right now if you'd like. As if he wasn't even trying before or now that we were upset enough that we needed to leave something had changed and he could finally take care of us? That was probably the most annoying of all and such an...
Read moreWe used to love this place—it was our go-to restaurant for every occasion. However, today’s visit was beyond disappointing. We arrived at 4:55 PM, planning to grab a quick dinner. We were told there would be a 15–20 minute wait, which was fine. However, we didn’t get seated until almost 6:00 PM. After that, it took another 15 minutes before our server came to greet us. My son ordered a kids’ meal: steak, a fruit cup, and root beer. The server didn’t bother to mention that root beer is not considered a soda and that the fruit cup cannot be included with the kids’ steak meal unless you pay extra for it. This was odd because the meal is supposed to come with fries or tots, but my son only received a bowl of steak and a fruit cup. When we asked for the check, it took another 15 minutes for our server to bring it to us. We were surprised to see that we were charged $3.49 for the root beer and $2.99 for the fruit cup. We waited a long time just to try to talk to our server about it. Eventually, another server walked by and offered to help, so we finally had a chance to speak with ours. She then explained that root beer is not a soda and the fruit cup cannot be substituted. If we were being charged for an extra side, why didn’t we get the fries or tots that were supposed to be included with the meal? We spent nearly 2 hours at the restaurant, with most of that time wasted waiting and ending with some surprise charges on our bill. It was a very disappointing and...
Read moreFranchise, sit down restaurant close to a lot of things and nearest nearly in Highlands Ranch. I had the 12 oz NY strip (medium rare) with fresh vegetables and roasted potato cubes. Service was friendly albeit bland. The steak needed salt and it was chewy with a lot of connective tissue. My fork hand got a little tired, while holding the steak steady, as I sawed through it with the serrated knife. The potatoes were meh and had the texture of roasted, pre-frozen potatoes. I actually like vegetables but not the ones served basically raw and slightly warmed over. Raw zucchini shouldn't be served, imho. If they'd grilled the veggies, properly (not just add.some.geill lines) then I'd have cleaned them off the plate. Instead, I took a few nibbles and moved on. There was a pre-meal salad and sides: artichoke dip, some raw veggie spears, and waffle sweet potato fries. The artichoke dip was ok but a bit too salty for me. The waffle fries were ok as well. I mostly ate them just because they were sitting there (I'm not a fan of fried food). The raw veggies could've looked better (had.sad, dried ends) but I ate them anyway, because I prefer veggies over breads. Dessert was a brownie, which was fine though I wasn't prepared for the raspberry sauce, which confused my tongue that was expecting chocolate (it makes you think you're eating spoiled food). But I...
