Tropical Smoothie Cafe — Restaurant in Colorado

Custom service. I went to pickup a smoothie for my wife, a regular customer. Being unfamiliar with the drive thru, I mistakenly pulled through to the window and began to order. "Eric" (big guy with a beard mentioned in another review) totally ignore my order, and with a wide eyed look of bewilderment like he's witnessing a crime tells me that I need to order at the menu/intercom. Acknowledging my mistake (I just realized) I told him my order for second time. With a look that could be interpreted as menacing an certainly as intense, he again told me I needed to order at the menu. It was not busy, no one was in line. I glance over my shoulder, inferring he wanted me to back up around a tight blind driveway turn, but seeing how unsafe that would, gave him the benefit of the doubt and though maybe he just needed a hug and to feel heard. Third time I order. Blueberry Bliss. Two words, nothing extra or complicated. Eric is still having a hard time wrapping his head around the fact that an order is not coming though his head set. After bewildered demeanor changes to rudeness (I wonder if he was upset I wasn't following his commands), he finally asked for my order. I had given him THREE times. So I give him my simple order for the fourth time in 30 seconds. When he comes back with the order (I was hoping for someone else since he was struggling to be professional/having a bad day, etc), he gives me a stern look as though I am a child and "As a reminder, order at the [menu]". As though I forgot the previous rudeness minutes before. At this point it was clear he needed some support. I began "As a tip...." he rudely tuned away mid sentence slamming the window shut to cut me off. Now I'm concerned what is actually...

Made my day to see TSC as I am new to the Springs and it is a favorite spot of mine back home. Went for lunch on a Friday. The line moved timely and the drive thru employee was very friendly and knowledgeable. I ordered one of my favorite entrees which is the THAI CHICKEN SALAD. It is grilled chicken, carrots, cilantro, scallions & wontons on a bed of romaine & served with Thai peanut dressing. The dressing is delish - makes the whole salad! Or so I thought- there was no cilantro or scallions on my salad. I am still looking at it and picking around - literally not one piece. The salad is extremely blah without those two toppings sadly. And I mean blah... The chicken did not appear to be grilled but instead boiled or even microwaved possibly. Texture is off. Very pale and bland - no flavor at all. Hard to believe it's grilled at least not in the restaurant. I ended up picking around it and just eating the romaine. The salad is $8.99 before tax. It's not nearly worth the price for what I received. I ordered the JALAPENO CORN for my side ( $1 upcharge) which was surprisingly very good and full of flavor. I also got the DETOX ISLAND GREEN SMOOTHIE - another go-to of mine at my home location. The smoothie should have spinach, kale, mango, pineapple, banana & fresh ginger. If you've ever had a good one you know the ginger is a predominant flavor since it is fresh ginger. Mine lacked ginger if any was added at all. It was also very very loose compared to what I am used too. Closer to a juice than a smoothie. This is my first time at this location and I definitely should have looked at everything prior to pulling off. Again, the service was A1 seriously but... I don't know if I would try this...

I go to this tropical smoothie at least one to two times a week. Most of the time they are great but more and more often lately they have been messing up my order.

I always get a chocolate and banana smoothie with pea protein, so PB Cup without the peanut butter. And it's a good thing I don't have a peanut allergy with the way they will just give me a PB Cup smoothies. Even when I confirm when ordering that it is just a chocolate and banana smoothie.

Today they once again handed me a PB Cup so I gave it back and told them again that it was supposed to be a chocolate and banana smoothie. Usually they get it right when they remake it but today when they gave me my remade smoothies it is now just chocolate and peanut butter with no banana.

Thank goodness for my Thai chicken wrap and it was delicious, because I was not wasting more time waiting for them remake and mess up my smoothie yet again. I do not understand why this seems to be so difficult for them. I think I will have to find a new smoothie place since this one is just...
